Hub got the original koja and I got the chicken koja. We were both very happy with our choices. It was a little messy to eat but they wrap it well… just don’t take it out of the wrapper to eat it. I would definitely go again and bring friends. I would try to go before or after the lunch rush bc the place is small and I would want to eat it right away

This Korean-Japanese (or KoJa) restaurant makes great fries, uncommon burgers, and refreshing drinks.

I ordered a Mint Mango Lemonade, a Short Rib KoJa, a Beef Taco, and the Kamikaze Fries for pickup through Doordash. The total after tax was about $30. The “KoJa,” a rice bun burger, was delicious, but the rice was kind of hard outside from being fried. The short rib was tender, juicy, and really good. The taco was also really good and came with a little lemon wedge. The fries were my favorite out of everything; they were packed with flavor, still crispy under the toppings, and just spicy enough for me. The lemonade was more sour than I expected and I didn’t really like it, but was definitely an interesting drink.

Overall, I think the food here is great and the prices are reasonable.

On a different visit, I ordered the Crispy Chicken Bowl and the fried chicken was burnt. On yet another visit, I had their Kamikaze Fries and they were as good as I remember.

Cool concept with rice buns! They were crispy and yummy. Short rib was very tender and nice, brown rice in the bowl was delicious. I’m not big rice fan but finished this one.
Kamikaze fries – crispy and loaded!

I can’t justify ordering to go again. I don’t even enjoy salad why would it be most of my order for 17 dollars. Im still hungry mannn..:

Teeny tiny place with a few seats inside & a few sidewalk tables.
It’s really best for to-go.
The food is pretty simple and straightforward.
Everything is really good, it’s hard to go wrong here.
The koja “burger” is great with short ribs in between rice buns.
Fast and friendly service.
They’re located in the former Vietnamese cafe spot on 6th.

Was looking for a place to get some teriyaki and found this. The food was really good and the price was acceptable. Not the cheapest around but still worth it for what you get. It is somewhere that I would consider going to again as we really enjoyed the food.

looks good but not tasty.

hard rice; lackluster flavor and texture in everything we ordered: umami fries, pork bowl and short rib bowl

This was a great value for delicious, fresh food. The service was friendly and very quick.

The chicken in the bowl was very tender and flavorful, everything in the bowl worked together nicely. My boyfriend really enjoyed the rice burger.

The kamikaze fries were super fresh and the fries were on point. I loved the sauces on top!

The lemonade slush was really refreshing and delicious.

My family really likes to get groceries here, so I come near Clement often. I was often off put by the small portions and high prices at koja kitchen. My family really wanted to try it, so we went. We ordered umani fries, one of each tacos, chicken plate, and beef plate.

The tacos were okay. I wasn’t a fan of the chicken or pork ones. The beef was probably the best of the three. The plates were actually really filling. It came with a mini salad on the side, but the plates definitely filled us. The umami fries were the star though. The waffle cut fries tasted amazing with the sauce and pork. There was a lot of space, with patio seating. There’s lots of TV’s too, so I think it’d be a nice place to have a drink and eat the fries.

While I wouldn’t get the tacos again, I would definitely be down to get their fries again. I was super skeptical of their food before, but am now a fan.

Love food – light, full of flavor, very unusual. Service is great. Very clean. I have been to two locations – San Francisco and San Jose. Both are great. One in San Jose has a vibe of a chain restaurant but San Francisco café feels more high end.
