I have been coming to this location for years — easily hundreds of times — and it has always been one of my favorite places. I frequently order the Chapuzón and have always enjoyed it.
Unfortunately, this visit was very different. The Chapuzón I received had a grainy texture, almost as if there was sand in it. The more I ate, the more unpleasant it became, and it was not enjoyable or consistent with how it is normally prepared.
I brought the issue to our server, Daniel. He returned and told me the food was cooked a specific way and that there was nothing he could do. While he did offer a complimentary shot, that is something that is typically offered regardless of any issue, so it did not feel like a resolution to the concern.
I respectfully asked for a discount on the item since I was unable to enjoy it. He brought the check without any adjustment and disregarded my concern. When I asked again, he simply said he couldn’t do anything.
As someone who has supported this restaurant consistently and spoken highly of it to others, I left feeling very disappointed. I wasn’t looking for anything unreasonable — just acknowledgment and a fair resolution.
I hope you take this feedback seriously, as I would love to continue supporting a place I’ve enjoyed for so many years.

One fresh, thick steak dinner(including non-alcoholic drink) was top notch and cooked to perfection, but @$60 for one dinner is outside my income level. Thank god I had a credit card on me. Take someone there if you want to impress a steak eating guy, for sure. Unfortunately, I don’t remember what was the cut of meat because I know that had to do with the price because the menu said market value and the meat was fully marbled. Yummy!

We tried their quesabirria tacos asked for them extra crispy.. they pack it with lots of meat, let me say they are absolutely amazing and delicious!! You must try!! It’s not on their menu but they have posters outside everywhere advertising. Only Monday-Friday they sell them.

The Tomahawk and the Huachinango a la Diabla (spicy sauce) served aside.. both dishes were delicious. The fish was not cleaned properly and there were various spots of scales, but other than that it was delicious. I had to request another diabla spicy sauce because it wa sprepared with shimp ( which I’m allergic to) the waitress was so nice as to go back and change to another sauce.

I went to this place and it’s tradition to bring chips to a table before you order ur meal , I just wanted a taco and ordered and orchata , I waited and waited they brought no chips and addressed that , if I am dinning in chips should be given to customers in this case their echeviche, they said u have to order a big meal I said what , I am ordering iam sitting down eating , the same treatment should be given to all customers who dine, that chose to eat at yr restaurant , won’t go here again and was going to come back to order their shrimp and seafood platters , but since the whole pettiness of a platter u give all your customers you done, but only because I did not order a big platter I was denied that and had to ask them what do you give , won’t go back again and tipped them , regardless of their bad service treatment

I wanted to try this place out since I seen good ratings.. I REGRET ordering from this place! I wanted A Small Platter of camarones cora and this is what I got! Mind you I called the restaurant and told them the shrimp was ugly and burnt and literally gave me a lot of garlic like big chunks of it and it was DISGUSTING! I’m STICKING to my REGULAR las Islas marias on GRAND AND CICERO!
