Yesterday, after going to the gym for the first time in forever, I desperately needed a pick-me-up, so I stopped at the Starbucks on Woodbine to get my beloved brown sugar oatmilk shaken espresso.
At the drive-thru, I met my barista, Jasper. I don’t really know how to describe it, but while waiting for my order, Jasper gave me a mini therapy session and confidence boost somehow condensed to about 1-2 minutes’ time. She gave me kudos for working out and going back to work afterward (which I needed motivation to do!!!), validated me during a series of mini rants I let out for some reason, and then served up my beloved drink with a smile. It made my day.
This morning, I stopped by again, and Jasper was at the window. This time, the drive-thru was packed. People were running around behind the bar, trying to keep up. I witnessed Jasper take control of the situation, offering direction on which drinks to prioritize, taking and processing new orders, and then delivering orders at the window. It was the morning rush — a high-stress situation — and Jasper maintained her cool while helping others stay steady and focused to serve up a slew of orders. It was honestly really cool to watch. It made *me* calm just watching her own and direct the situation lol.
Then, each time she turned to me, I got a warm smile and kind words. Had I not been able to see behind the bar and behind me in the drive-thru, I’d have never known anything stressful was going on.
She rocks! I’ll be returning to this location just to take notes on how to maintain calmness during stressful situations, LOL.

I’ve been coming to this Starbucks almost every day, usually with my two dogs in the car. The baristas always recognize us, and they never forget the two PupCups—they even write little doodles or notes on my cup sometimes. I didn’t realize how much that meant to me until recently.
Money’s been tight, and I’m currently going through a rough patch, even facing homelessness. But every morning, this Starbucks has been one of the few places where I feel a little bit of normalcy and joy. Just getting a coffee, sitting with my dogs, and feeling that bit of warmth—it’s something I look forward to more than anything.
Thank you to the team here for being kind, consistent, and genuine. You have no idea how much your small acts of kindness can mean to someone who’s struggling. You’ve made my mornings brighter, and I’ll never forget that.

Made a mobile order. When I got my drink I saw this. Adorable artwork. My name in the app is in reference to one of my favorite animations so my order doesn’t get mixed up with another person’s with the same name. I loved it. Reminded me of our time living in Japan and all the drink orders there always had cute drawings on them. I thanked the Barista and told her how much I loved it.

We have come through this drive thru at least 2 times a week for a year. Always a great experience! Quick service and super nice baristas. Drinks are always made perfectly! Today (Valentine’s Day) we went inside for the first time! Jasper took our order and made our day so special! We had a big order so it was going to take some time. (4 drinks 4 food items) Jasper gave my 4 year old a receipt paper slip and a sharpie to draw! He made them a Valentine’s Day card. Jasper is seriously a valuable employee! So sweet and kind!

I like this location! I stop in during the mornings on the way to work many mornings and the service is quick. The staff are very friendly and have happily fixed and order mix ups that have occurred. The Cafe does get a little loud during peak hours but the seating area has plenty of room as well as a spacious outdoor seating area.

PLEASE train your baristas to make cold foam the correct way. Ever since fall drinks came out, I’ve gotten an iced pumpkin cream chai and the foam is liquid and not thick at all and is melted into the drink by the time I get it. This happens every time.
