Recently I’ve eaten at top restaurants in Madrid, Spain, Cambridge, UK, Tunisia, North Africa & at Brine in Newburyport, MA. Yet my dinner & experience at Ricks in Kingston far exceeded all of them. I had pumpkin Mahi for my main course and carrot cake for desert. The mahi was perfectly cooked and hot and the flavors were nothing I’ve ever tasted. Dessert was a work of art, the cake was the perfect moist needed. The service was attentive and not overdone. I had time to enjoy and digest without interruption. We will be back!

We went here last night with another couple. It was one of the best meals I have ever had! I got the a la cart salmon with the mushroom risotto and caesar salad. It was so delicious. The same was cooked perfectly, the risotto had big chunks of mushroom and it was piping hot. Even the croutons on the salad with top notch. I’ve literally been thinking about the meal all day today. Everyone else at the table felt the same way about their meals. I got the hot and dirty martini and it was soooooo good. Came out ice cold and the blue cheese stuffed olives were fantastic. Our server was great- super attentive and enthusiastic about all our choices, she was knowledgeable and very friendly. We can’t wait to go back!

I recently visited Ricks in Kingston, NH, and had a fantastic experience. For appetizers, I ordered the steak and cheese rolls, which were delicious. For my entree, I had the lamb loin with wild rice and brussel sprouts, which was cooked to perfection.

The service was top-notch, particularly thanks to the manager who went above and beyond to accommodate our seating preferences. When we wanted to sit at the bar but there wasn’t room, he kindly offered to seat us at a table until a spot opened up.

The margarita was also a highlight, with a great balance of flavors. Overall, I would highly recommend Ricks for its excellent food, accommodating service, and tasty cocktails. Also, if you’re a fan of bread pudding, don’t miss out on this dessert!

Do not be fooled by the look of this place! It appears to be a cozy little bar room, but they offer an elevated cocktail and food menu that would comfortably fit into any Boston venue. Three cheers to owner/chef Rick Korn, and GM Greg Rodgers who provided a stellar dining experience.

My husband Charlie and I decided to take a long ride on (another) rainy Saturday, and found ourselves here just before 4 PM. No reservations so we weren’t expecting to be seated right away. Looking around, there appeared to be several available tables, but the friendly host, GM Rodgers assured us they were all booked for 4pm, but he asked if we minded sitting at the large high top table for 8. No problem! We were seated immediately. First good sign. How many restaurants have you been to where they will willingly seat a couple at an 8-top and give up all that potential revenue? (Toward the end of our meal, they asked if we minded if they seated another couple at the other end of the table, and we gladly allowed it.)

Our charming server Chris came right over with water and to take drink orders. I ordered the Local Brew Espresso Martini. Delicious, made with their special espresso, and a hint of Maple Cream liqueur with 3 espresso beans floating on top of the frothy foam. One of the best espresso martinis I ever had. Charlie ordered a can of Little Wizard IPA, which arrived icy cold, as he likes it.

Next, Chris delivered a basket of hot freshly baked rolls with seasoned whipped butter. OMG. I am a bread person, and I will get all judgy if a restaurant doesn’t measure up on that level. No problem here. These were fabulous!

OUR APPETIZER
Trio of Shrimp
• Shrimp Ceviche
• Shrimp Fritters
• Buffalo Shrimp with a large chunk of blue cheese
Beautiful presentation. So unique and tasty. Of the three items, we agreed our favorite was the ceviche.

ENTREES
I ordered SUMMER CHICKEN.
This entree made me soooo happy! The ingredients were so fresh and delicious! The chicken was flavorful and juicy, and the raviolis were light with such a unique flavor! It was a very generous portion, and I enjoyed my leftovers for lunch the next day.

Charlie ordered the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich. Delivered hot and juicy with a basket of crispy fries. He happuly devoured it!

DESSERT
Although we were already full and satisfied, we had read reviews about Grandma Aseret’s Homemade Seasonal Bread Pudding dessert, so we forced ourselves to make room, and we were not disappointed.

This is a large, dense square of tender warm gingerbread-like pudding served up with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a dollop of whipped cream. While walking by the table, Greg noticed that we had this amazing dessert and he asked how we liked it. He revealed that all the desserts are truly from his grandma’s recipes, and this one is made by his mom for the restaurant. (As I said before, judgy bread person, which extends to desserts! Again, not a problem!) We did not leave a morsel behind on the plate!

I give this entire dining experience a five out of five. The service was stellar, the ambiance cozy, and the food was absolutely phenomenal.

Go to Rick’s soon!

We had an amazing date night at Rick’s Place. Andrew was our server he was beyond accommodating, relaxed, described the food so eloquently and just made you feel at home l. I forgot the other staff members names who checked on us and other tables outside but they were all so nice and excellent customer service. The fries were delicious and definetly ranked as one of the world’s best fries. We had the Seafood risotto and the Haddock both were seasoned and cooked to perfection. As someone else mentioned definetly a spa for your tastebuds. We ended with the Blueberry baklava and coffee. Treat yourself to a relaxing night out , sit outside and treat your tastebuds.

I recently had an unforgettable dining experience at Rick’s Food & Spirits in Kingston, NH, and I’m already excited for my next visit! After wanting to try this local gem for months but never finding the time, I finally went with my wife, and I regret not coming sooner. The warm atmosphere and impressive menu immediately impressed us.
I ordered the crispy duck with rice pilaf, and it was absolutely incredible. The duck was perfectly cooked, with crisp skin and tender, flavorful meat that even surpassed the amazing “Pato Laqueado” I had in Mexico years ago. My wife chose the mahi mahi with parmesan risotto, which was equally outstanding. (I snuck a bite, and it was divine!) To top it all off, we shared a baklava for dessert, and it was a revelation—flaky, sweet, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of nutty richness. Every bite was pure bliss.
Rick’s is a true standout in Kingston, offering exceptional food and a welcoming vibe. Best of all, it’s just a 10-minute drive from my home, making it dangerously convenient. I’m already looking forward to becoming a regular. If you’re in the area, don’t wait as long as I did—head to Rick’s for a meal (and dessert!) you won’t forget!
