The lack of value at this place is unreal.
I have been to many pho restaurants during my time here in Edmonton, and this is the least impressive one yet. The portions are very small, and basic hospitality is nonexistent. They are incredibly stingy with essentials like napkins and sauce; I was given one measly napkin with my order, and when I asked for a paper towel, the waiter gave me exactly one sheet from a roll.

The bowl I had was a large which seems like a small in other restaurants, the pho itself wasn’t too bad, good broth but the noodles are chewy and slimy with no texture.

The green onion cake portions are tiny compared to other local spots. I finished my sweet chili sauce quickly, but the waiter never checked on me after dropping off the food.

Unlike 90% of Vietnamese restaurants in the city, they don’t serve tea to start, and even the side of bean sprouts and lime was bare.

The biggest issue was the bill. My order of a large beef pho and green onion cakes should have totaled $21.80, but I was charged $38.00 and I tipped 10% which totalled $41. When I asked for a receipt, the staff fumbled with the printer and eventually handed me their merchant copy as it wasn’t printing. Outside, I realized they had charged me for an extra order of fish sauce chicken wings ($17.95). When I went back inside, they claimed they were “just about to come find me,” which was hard to believe as they hadn’t moved from the register. They refunded me $12.00 in cash and insisted it was the correct amount, even though they still owed me more. I eventually just gave up and left.

This is a shameless establishment with subpar food and frugal practices. This was my first and LAST time visiting

Food was delicious! Even on opening day, my table didn’t have to wait very long to be seated and for the food! The sugarcane shrimp was sweet and savoury! Yum! Vermicelli bowl was delicious! I really liked the pork patty and the pho was really good! I would definitely come back again to try more items!

This is my fourth time coming to Pho King since they opened, and every single visit blows me away. This place has officially become my comfort-food spot. The portions are HUGE, the quality of the food is consistently amazing, and the service is always warm, friendly, and attentive.

What really sets them apart is how creative their menu is, they offer so many unique items you don’t usually see at other pho restaurants, and everything I’ve tried has been delicious. You can tell they put a lot of care into what they do.

Pho King is one of those rare places that makes you feel welcomed the moment you walk in and satisfied every time you leave. Highly recommend!

Pho King nailed it. The broth actually tastes like it’s been done the right way rich, clean, and full of flavor without being greasy or salty. The rare beef was tender and cooked perfectly in the bowl, and the fresh herbs gave it that bright hit that good pho should have. Portion size was solid and it came out steaming hot, just the way it should.

Service was quick and friendly, the place was spotless, and you can tell they take pride in what they serve. Easily one of the best Vietnamese spots in Edmonton and I’m really happy to have a great spot open in the Northeast.

Friendly service and nicely decorated Vietnamese themed restaurant. This Pho King location just opened up in October. My large beef satay noodle bowl ($15.99) had a nice thick sauce and was very tasty. I only wished my noodles weren’t over cooked and more al dente. My dining companion had the Queen Vermicelli bowl $19.99, she enjoyed the flavors but thought it could have had a bit more meat. We both enjoyed the meal, the servers were friendly and attentive. Will visit again to try their other dishes.

Tried a new pho place and glad we did! Ordered green onion cakes, Crispy shrimp, Beef Satay Pho, vegetarian spring rolls and Spicy lemongrass chicken. Every dish was excellent. The Beef Satay pho was more of a creamy broth but it was spicy and tasty. We will be back to try some other dishes!!. Excellent service as well.

I had Bun bo Hue and found the broth had no flavour, missing key ingredients of bone, banana blossoms or cabbage, very little beef. I had to add a lot of chili to give it some flavour.

New location which means new staff. They were polite but no on the same page.

Like I said new location so very clean, casual dining.
