SLC Dhaba was born out of the shared culinary passion of two friends from North India, with a simple dream — to bring the bold, vibrant flavors of Indian street food to the heart of Utah. What began as a humble catering venture soon grew into a community favorite, and today, we’re proud to welcome you to our first brick-and-mortar location in West Jordan. Our journey started by bringing authentic, live-cooked North Indian dishes to weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations across the valley. From sizzling Paneer Tikka to tangy Paani Puri, fluffy Chole Bhature, and crispy Aloo Tikki, our food is made live, fresh, and with heart. As our community grew, so did our vision. Our new dine in space offers something more. Please do come.

FOOD: Chicken Biryani had the right spice level and flavor BUT I’m used to seeing more color in the dish. The CTM that my daughters ordered was pretty good and the butter chicken tasted like the CTM. But my family was in agreement for what we paid for we didn’t get nearly as much basmati rice.

SERVICE: Was welcomed when I came in and food was ready on arrival. The atmosphere is small and welcoming but not for me to dine in.

A truly authentic Indian gem!
This is hands down some of the best Indian food I’ve had in a long time. The Samosas were perfectly crisp and flavorful, and the Paneer and Naan tasted exactly like home—true, authentic flavors. A special shoutout for the complementary tea, which was a superb touch, and the Gajar ka halwa, which was the perfect sweet finish. Great service, reasonable prices, and high-quality food. I’ll definitely be back

Authentic North Indian food with so many dishes you won’t find anywhere else in Utah. We loved the Dhaba lime drink. It was super refreshing! The cheese kebabs were delicious, and the chicken naan was something new for us and really good. Ending the meal with warm gajar ka halwa on a cold winter night was just perfect. Definitely coming back again!

SLC Dhaba truly gave us the best food experience of our entire time in the US. From the moment you walk in, the hospitality makes you feel at home.

On our first visit, we were warmly welcomed by Sunita, who is always smiling, incredibly friendly & extremely knowledgeable about the menu. The ambience was really, really good. We tried Chicken Seekh Kabab(Mamna), Kaju Masala, and Malai Kofta – each dish was fantastic. The owner, Mr Deepak personally came to greet us, shared his story, and even recommended places to visit around Salt Lake City (we followed his suggestions and they were amazing!). To top it all off, they offered Gajar ka Halwa at the end – such a thoughtful and generous gesture. Honestly, after just a few bites, we were already talking about coming back.

And we did.

On our second visit, we tried completely different dishes, including Tandoori Chicken, Chhole Bhature, and finally “Methi Chaman”, which Sunita had recommended on our first visit. Wow!!! This dish was so unique and unbelievably delicious. We absolutely loved it. Along with that, we had the best Dal Tadka and Jeera Rice we’ve had anywhere in the US. Another long and warm conversation with Mr Deepak followed & this time he surprised us with a gift for visiting SLC. Such generosity and kindness truly touched us.

Of course, this couldn’t end at two visits.

On our third visit, Mr Deepak personally came over to welcome us and immediately suggested we try the Amritsari Fish this time. When he found out that only one of us was having non-veg, he kindly offered a small complimentary plate of the fish to taste and encouraged us to go ahead with the Dhaba Special Kabab as well. Oh my, my, my! Both dishes were absolutely outstanding – perfectly cooked, bursting with flavor & truly memorable. The chef here clearly knows the craft inside out.

Every single visit gave us outstanding food, warm conversations & genuine care. We thanked the entire team and wished them all the best for their next venture in SLC.

Five stars for food, ambience, hospitality, staff & the generous owner, Mr Deepak (and only three stars to us for visiting just three times ).
We’ll definitely be back and next time, we’ll try to make it five visits instead of three! ️

Highly, highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing North Indian food! You can really taste the passion and care that goes into every dish. The flavors are authentic, perfectly balanced, and remind me of Delhi style food back in India. Every bite feels fresh and made with love — nothing tastes rushed or commercial. Truly one of the few places in Utah where quality and heart come together so beautifully. Highly recommend to anyone craving genuine North Indian flavors!

I went to SLC Dhaba for their lunch buffet today and it was SO good! Everything tasted incredibly authentic! It was full of flavor and you can tell they really care about the quality of the food. The service was also excellent. The host was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. It made the whole experience even better.

So happy we have a place like this here in Utah. Definitely coming back!

The food was incredible!
The service seemed a little disconnected,
perhaps an off night, but just a little disjointed, and items were coming out oddly timed,

The food however….

Absolutely delicious!

I eat a lot of Indian cuisine, and I mean a lot.
I have eaten at Indian restaurants all over the country, and this place, had the best Korma of anywhere I have been.
The food was seriously delicious, I cannot recommend it enough.
Get there a little earlier than you normally would as it does get busy quickly and there’s not a lot of seating.

My Indian friend told me about this new popular Indian place near my house (and indeed half way through my office—perfect). I have been craving for Chicken Tikka Masala for some time now and since my used-to-be favorite Indian restaurant has dropped the quality (just heard they change the owner—makes sense) I’m eager to give myself a try to different places. Today is the day. I called to make a to go order but got pulled into a meeting so I arrived a bit later than I thought. I got a called while parking to tell me my order is ready in which I replied that I’m almost there. The person on the phone said “it was ready 30 minutes ago”; while I appreciate the information, I felt like I was scold at for arriving late (not that I want to, plus I paid, plus I said I’m parking my car). Anyhow, got my food from the server who isn’t super friendly (not sure if it’s the same person who called). The place looks pretty nice inside and they have AYCE bar for lunch, maybe I will give it a try next time. After I got home, the food was still warm and I dig in happily. Samosa is good, but pretty standard. I love Gobi Chili but they only have Chicken Chili and Paneer Chili at this place so I got the chicken. First bite, I notice that it’s less sweet than what I used to—in a good way though. 9/10! Then I moved on to my long-awaiting chicken tikka masala. Again, it’s less sweet and again in a good way. This makes me think this place is probably more authentic than many other Indian places that make things sweeter to match American taste. They use bigger chunk of chicken so it makes the curry seem to have less chicken overall although it is not. Flavor-wise, I can put this into the top of my Indian restaurant list that I won’t hesitate to come back. Their naan is smaller than other places though. Overall, it’s a bit pricier when compared portions with other places but still worths coming for the very tasty foods. Would love to try their other dishes next time.
