Since we moved to Pasco county we have been looking for authentic Puerto Rican food. This is it! The food was very fresh and tasty good portions. They have specials and change the rice day to day white yellow and others. I had yellow rice and beans with fried chicken chunks it came with a little tasty salad. My husband had white rice and beans with pork chunks. It was cooked to perfection! I can’t wait to go back! The resturant was spotless including the bathroom lol. Call before you go gor the specials and what is the rice of the day. It’s a family owned restaurant Father mother and daughter, they are very nice and friendly. And are very particular about the taste it’s definitely authentic.

Everything we ordered was fantastic — from the alcapurria to our main courses, every dish hit the mark. The service was excellent as well; everyone was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better.

The only challenge was finding the place at first, but once we located it, the food and service made it completely worth it. I’m even including a small video to help anyone visiting for the first time

Highly recommended if you’re looking for great flavors and a welcoming atmosphere.

First time here, it was a little difficult to find the place but once we did it was so nice and cozy inside. The lady that took our order knew who we were because I called in my order prior to arriving. I ordered 2 tripletas, a beef empanada, an alcapurria, 2 vanilla flans, and 2 parcha juices. I took pictures of everything except the tripletas just because I forgot and ate them before I could take the picture, they were that good and delicious. I’ve read the reviews of this restaurant prior to going and whoever wrote that the empanadas were overly fried/ burnt was 100% mistaken. It was fried to greatness, it was crunchy and very well seasoned.

Food was 9.5 out of 10
Customer service was a 10 out of 10
Atmosphere was a 9 out of 10

Also its very close to my house, I will definitely be back to try different food items in their menu.

Great service and atmosphere at Doble Gustazo! The mofongo with shrimp in garlic sauce was delicious, and the chicken crackling with mofongo had amazing flavor too. My daughter loved the chicken wings—she said they were some of the best she’s ever had. Highly recommend!

Ordered alcapurrias WOW!!! amazing taste!!!! Ordered chicken soup and also very tasteful with ingredients on point . And last ordered pork chunks with a duofongo and a side of arroz con gandules(yellow rice with pigeon peas) OMG I’m so glad I came in today and definitely will return. And let me say that the service was amazing. Makes anyone wanting to come back for more.

We had gone to the food truck and enjoyed the food. Decided to try the restaurant and although service was great, food was not as good as truck. First off, the alcapurrias were delicious. They had the right amount of meat and were flavorful. The empanada filling (beef and pork) were also very good but the shells themselves were fried too long. See pic. I ordered the skirt steak that comes with rice and beans but on the advice of server switched that to mofongo because she emphasized that “it was not dry”. It was very dry. When the bill came I found there was a $2 up charge which was not said. The steak was good but I do not think it was a skirt steak. Seemed like a regular steak cut in slices. Finally my daughter had white rice which had no seasoning and it too was not good. I felt $2.50 for a can of Coco Rico was a little much. Maybe we caught the cook on a bad day as others seemed to have a better experience. The server was very good.

This place is an absolute gem! You can truly feel the personal touch the moment you walk in. Everything is made fresh with high-quality ingredients, and each scratch-made dish is prepared to perfection. The food is outstanding, but the warm, cozy, and inviting atmosphere makes the experience even better. David and Lazara are incredible and work true magic in the kitchen, serving every dish authentically and with so much love. The plus is the well kept and clean environment. It truly feels like you’re sitting in your grandmother’s house or your mother’s having a plate of pure comfort and bliss. I can’t recommend this place enough! definitely a must-visit!

I highly recommend this little local gem. The owners are very kind. It is a family owned business. Delicious food is served here. It is authentic puertorican food. The corn fritters are hot and crispy. The green plantain fritters (alcapurria) are served hot, crispy on the outside, and filled with delicious meat filling. The sweet plantains are perfectly cooked; not burned or undercooked. The fried plantains are crispy and perfectly salted, served with the mayo-ketcup sauce. The Grilled Skirt Steak (Churrasco Salteado con Cebolla y Pimiento) is perfectly seasoned and cut into bite-sized strips served with onions and sweet bell peppers. The rice with pigeon peas (arroz con gandules) is cooked with lots of flavor and not mushy or sticky. The dish is served with a side salad and seasoned oil. I recommended this place to family and friends and am already looking forward to trying another dish. I am so happy I chose this place for a birthday dinner.

This is the best Latin Restaurant in Land O Lakes. Had the Mofongo with churrasco and also the natural juice. Great to see them grow into a brick and mortar building. Also they area great people. Highly recommended.
