First time here with our breakfast club and it was a big hit with everyone. They had room for us – group of ten – in the side room.
Our waitress was very attentive but not hovering. She met every need we had with a smile. Our food arrived pretty quickly and all together, which is always nice when eating in a large group.
We really enjoyed our meal here as a group, and will be adding the Black Forest Family Restaurant to our rotating- but next time we’ll be returning for lunch because the offerings on the menu looked very intriguing.

Just found this little gem! It’s a nice quiet little place. The service is fantastic! They were so nice and very helpful. The food was phenomenal and the price is cheap. You get so much food for the price! I definitely recommend!

Service friendly and attentive in this first visit since Black Forest reopened. I opted for the “Pick your own” breakfast combination of two eggs, two strips of bacon and one pancake for $5.95 and coffee. The ample serving of
eggs, bacon and pancake were done well and tasty and the coffee good as well. Worthy of a return visit to try lunch and dinner selections. We still find the Black Forest a satisfying place for breakfast and lunch

I had forgotten about this restaurant. We drove by and stopped for breakfast. I really liked the “build your own breakfast”.

I sometimes stop in for egg&cheese on English muffin to go and the friendly young blonde waitress remembered my order- I hadnt been in in few weeks – the hostess is always super friendly too and they have really good cooks here. Place is spotless and is just the kinda place you want to sip coffee and eat pancakes at on a lazy Saturday morning. Top notch operation!

Very disappointing. Came in got a table, waitress set the coffee pot on the table to go get menus , which was fine. Chose a different table. Poured my own coffee. Waited 10 minutes for someone to come and take our order after we put the menus down and there was a no-show From the waitress. Looking around the room with other patrons and their tables were still full of dirty dishes, nobody bothered to clean any of the tables off for anyone. Will not be back. I can’t see anything for the food since our order was never taken, and our food would have been cold by the time we would’ve gotten it anyway with the way, the service seem to be.

I ordered breakfast. My hash browns were a bit burnt, country gravy wouldn’t cover the flavor.
I was told they have a new cook. No excuse. My omelet was small, nothing like I use to get. The pancakes had an off flavor. This restaurant is the only place I’d order pancakes.
The server was police and personable, very nice.
When I paid my bill, I noticed the cook has facial hair. Which it doesn’t take much for facial hair to fall out. Beard nets should be worn.
