Island Wok Express in Maui is a great casual spot if you’re craving Indo-Chinese flavors. We tried the momos, samosa chaat, and honey chili potatoes, and everything was packed with bold, satisfying flavor. The momos were soft and juicy with a rich sauce, the samosa chaat was loaded with chutneys, yogurt, and fresh onions that made it tangy and comforting, and the honey chili potatoes were perfectly crispy with that sweet-spicy glaze and sesame topping. Portions were generous and everything came in easy take-out containers, making it perfect for a relaxed outdoor meal. Overall, a fun place for flavorful street-style comfort food in Maui. ️

Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in South Kihei!

Took schezwan Chiken fried rice and vegetable biryani and both came out perfect. We loved it
To owner : it would be more wonderful if you can add some onions to fried rice and less oil.

Island Wok Express in Kihei is hands down one of the best Indian food trucks around. I stopped by expecting Thai food, only to discover it’s a newly opened Indian-style spot – and what a surprise! The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and clearly made with care. I didn’t even order rice, but the lady serving us kindly added it for free, purely out of generosity and good judgment. That alone says a lot about their hospitality. The taste was outstanding, the people were incredibly respectful and welcoming, and the location right by the road makes it super convenient, especially for tourists. Highly recommended. I’ll definitely be back! -Ray

Tried their Kadhai Paneer + Jeera Rice! Its good! The taste can be slightly better, but great thing is that it was authentic Indian! The service is amazing and the people were super friendly! They have a cozy seating area that was clean! The prices weren’t bad either! Would definitely recommend! Of all the Indian options available in Maui, I feel like this is going to be your best bet!

Found out they moved from the restaurant to a food truck in Kihei, so we had to check it out — and we’re so glad we did! Indian Grill n Curry has always been one of my favorite restaurants, and the new menu items at the food truck are amazing. I’m in love with their Hakka noodles, daal tadka, and the butter chicken is always my favorite. Everything we tried was packed with flavor and tasted fresh and authentic. Don’t let the food truck fool you — this is restaurant-quality food. So happy they’re still around in this new spot
