I went here with a friend for the first time on a Wednesday for dinner. They open at 4 pm. It was somewhat quiet with maybe 5 tables being served. Which was great for friends catching up. I had Pad Thai and my friend had a duck dish with a delicious Asian eggplant. Prices are reasonable and in line with most Thai restaurants.

This place is an absolute gem. The food is super authentic and packed with flavor, you can really taste the care and tradition in every dish. The staff are incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable, which makes the whole experience even better. It honestly feels so homey and wholesome, like being welcomed into someone’s kitchen rather than just eating out. Can’t recommend this spot enough.

Ordered angel wings, pineapple fried rice, and kai kua. The angel wings were deboned chicken wings stuffed with ground chicken and clear noodles. This was a delicious take on chicken, moist, flavorful chicken and spices inside and the sweet sauce complements it well. The pineapple fried rice was also a really nice dish that wasn’t too sweet, well mixed and made of shrimp, chicken, pineapples, cashew nuts, tomato, raisins, onions, green onion, and a touch of curry powder. The Kai Kua is stir fried flat rice noodles, chicken, squid, egg, bean sprouts, and green onion. This noodle dish is fairly light, well balanced with decent sized eggs, chicken, and squid mixed together. It’s not too fishy and it goes well with a nice crunch from the green onions. Service was quick, courteous, and simple. Ambiance feels very 90s based on how old it seems the restaurant looks inside. Lots of the color choices seem like they haven’t updated over time and that’s fine, especially if you’re here for comfort food and the food quality is great!

Ambiance: old , dark and depressing ‍♂️

Service: one lady at the front doing , host , taking order , bring food and pretty much everything ‍♂️ so I had to wait so long

Food: most ridiculous wonton cheese! (Picture attached) basically fried bread with nothing in it!!!

Hot and sour , it was some kind of soup but was anything close hot and sour that I have been experiencing for last 30 years !

If you’re in the mood for authentic Thai flavors in Irvine, Thai Kitchen is a must-visit. The ambiance is cozy, and the service is friendly and attentive. We tried the Tom Yum Soup, which was perfectly tangy and packed with rich, aromatic flavors. The Basil Fried Rice was a highlight—fluffy, fragrant, and full of savory goodness, with just the right amount of heat. Good options for vegetarians.
For dessert, the Mango Sticky Rice was a sweet, refreshing finish to the meal, with perfectly ripe mango and creamy coconut milk. The portions are generous, and the overall experience was both satisfying and delicious. Highly recommend this spot for a flavorful Thai dining experience!

Great Thai restaurant, everything taste pretty authentic. We visited this place once a while, and ordered various dishes to try everything. Curry can be spicy and need to order some extra rice which is also extra. Everything comes in good size. There was only one or two ladies working there so they got really busy sometimes.

Visited this local Thai restaurant in Stone Creek Plaza and found ample parking space available. The ambiance and seating capacity were impressive, and the owner, a friendly lady, greeted everyone with a warm smile. My friends and I decided to sample a variety of dishes, including Red curry with chicken, chicken mint basil, beef curry, and pad Thai.

The Red curry was a standout, packed with flavor, and I opted for a spicy level that suited my palate perfectly. The chicken mint basil dish was also delightful, with the combination of mint and basil adding a unique twist. While the beef curry leaned slightly towards the sweeter side, it was still enjoyable. The pad Thai had great flavor, but the peanut sauce was a bit overpowering, making it a tad sweeter than preferred.

One thing to note is that the portion of rice served with the curry dishes was on the smaller side compared to the generous servings of curry, so you might need to order extra rice to fully enjoy the curry.

Overall, it’s a decent restaurant with a small staff, so expect some delays during busy times. However, if you’re in the neighborhood and craving Thai cuisine, this place won’t disappoint.

We had dinner at Thai kitchen. From the outside, it looks like an unassuming spot and you might even miss it, but once you’re inside, you will love it. The ambience inside is very simple and it feels like it’s a neighborhood place.

The menu has a variety of Thai food dishes. Portions are generous and it’s a superb value for money. We ordered the same amount of food we usually do at other restaurants but we took a lot of food home.

Note – they don’t serve alcohol

Great place overall!

Server and food are very nice but our order of 4 items took OVER 1 HOUR to come out. We placed our order on Sunday at 12:50 pm, when there were around 6 tables. Tom yum kai came out at 1:40 pm; fried rice and beef panang came out at 2pm. Pad Kee mao came out at 2:15 pm so we ended up waiting 1 hr 25 minutes.

There was only 1 server for ~15 tables so I assume the kitchen was also understaffed. They need to hire more people for lunch time because we had plans for after lunch but had to cancel because of the delay.

While we were waiting for our food, the lone server was also packing take out orders, which makes no sense. Dine in customers should be prioritized over mobile orders. They should tell mobile orders that it will take a long time and make dine in orders in the meanwhile.

Also, the server started to ignore us as the wait time got longer and answered our questions with ‘soon’ without listening to the questions.

The server never asked us if we wanted water refill either. And the table that came in ~30 minutes after us got food before us and left while we were still eating.

Overall a terrible dining experience.

Look, this restaurant is great and had amazing food with great spices! The other reviews complain about wait time but the owner is an old senior lady running the whole restaurant so cut some slack for the restaurant. There is a wait time but that’s only because people order more and more food because of how good it tastes! It truly is an mini Thailand in the heart of Irvine! Amazing food and EXTREMELY NICE OWNER!! She was so nice and Happy and made all my meals WITH NO ONION OR GARLIC AND NO FISH SAUCE or anything non vegetarian sauces! I’m definitely coming back and eating their delicious food! But make sure to book ahead of time if you want to be seated right away if not then you might have to wait 20-30 minutes for a table on a Friday night when I visited!
