The food was great the host are on time but they never talk to you when your eating. They acknowledge your table with each pass but never smothering. I have recommended Cabo’s to a few people and they have also loved it. You don’t have to ask for the chips and salsa, the host are also knowledgeable of the menu. Like others described below, when we walked in they were doing paperwork in the lobby, slow to get up and greet us. That could easily be overlooked however the service was slow, and our meal just didn’t taste well. Our chips were stale. My lunch beef fajitas tasted more steamed than seared and they were on a bed of carrots and squash rather than onions and peppers. My wife liked her beef nachos but I only marginally cared for them. We had to wait forever for our ticket, I had to walk to the lobby and ask the paperwork crew for the ticket. For thirty dollars our meal was over priced. I won’t be back.

Went at an off-time. seated in a booth with a ripped seat. Wanted a replacement for the refried beans, tried twice and was told that they were out of the other beans. Got the large mixed fajita. It was enough for three people. The steak was tough, but the veggies were excellent. Food was passable (6 out of 10). Ready to leave and had to round up someone to pay.

Taco salad with no dressing whatsoever. Never offered a drink refill and was mostly ignored all around by the waitress who was only interested in people ordering alcohol drinks. Overall, prices were higher than normal for mediocre at best Mexican cuisine. From now on, when I’m in Zachary and desire Mexican food, I’ll stick to Chillis.

Very unprofessional. When you enter the lobby, there are people doing homework and laptops hooked up. Not friendly. Did not greet customers. Had to walk up to someone to ask them to take my order (mind you, I’m giving them MY money). Ordered a snack, queso chip and a margarita for me and my boyfriend. After paying them is when I was told that machines were down and that I had to wait. It’s funny because they made it seem as if it was my fault…never apologizing. The owner or manager (whoever) was rude about it. After waiting like a fool and them handing me the drinks is when they decided to ID me. I asked why am I being ID after a sale. The owner (or whoever) could not answer. I should have just went to Sammys Grill. It’s no wonder no one is ever at this establishment. Save your time and money. I predict that they’ll be closed down soon.

Non-beef dishes appear to be well prepared and taste good. Beef dishes are another story. Second time in several months that a beef dish – specifically ground beef – had an unusual taste. The person who had such a dish described the taste of the ground beef in not so kind terms.
Service is fast, pleasant, and efficient.

Cabo’s has good food BUT POOR WAIT STAFF!! I was the only one customer in the whole restaurant today (@ 5pm) for a good while and i had to use my cell phone to call their tele.# and tell my waiter to turn around and look behind himself while I waved my arm in the air across the restaurant just to ask him to please come back to my table, meanwhile, prior to and even after that call I STILL WAS CALLING OUT TO ALL OF THEM “Excuse me, Hey, Hello, can someone please come.” On my way out the hostess told me she saw what I had to do by making that very call bcs she had just walked back into front door (which I witnessed her doing at same time the male waiter answered the phone). **IF HE HAD TIME TO WALK THAT FAR TO ANSWER THE TELEPHONE RINGING, then why couldn’t he wait on my table without my asking for help/him repeatedly? Hmm….there’s a thought!! Hostess said my waiter/he is the son-in-law of the owner. He “Yes ma’am” me alot, but still, whether you have 1 customer or 25 customers, you should always be attentive the same to all. By the time I left, I still tipped him $10., however, don’t blame your customer because your food comes out wrong or because I expect to reasonably be waited on. Good food, so my praise to the cook staff and owner.

I absolutely loved it. The people, the food, the music. High quality tender meat in the steak tacos al carbón. I love to hear Spanish music when I go to a Spanish restaurant, Chinese music at a Chinese restaurant, etc. The experience was superb because the people had heart.
