I never leave google reviews but this place made me go out of my way to leave one. That should say everything it needs to for those who are looking in.
From their large selection of food, you can find just about anything that would satisfy your craving for Chinese food. Out of every Chinese food location in TC, this one takes the cake for the majority of my returns, best food and options/diversity, as well as best pricing.
I discovered this place with one of my best friends in my first year at NMC and after my first time eating from Fu Hua, I now find myself always going out of my way to stop by. Best egg rolls, steamed dumplings, crab rangoons, sweet and sour chicken, and sesame chicken compared to every restaurant in town.
Ordering can be a little intimidating at first, but you catch on quick. And if you’re reading this, you should 100% stop by!!

Best Chinese food in Traverse City. They have a diverse menu. Food is prepared quickly and it’s super tasty. My boyfriend and I like the sesame chicken and vegetable fried rice. Their egg and spring rolls are really good too. Due to inflation, I try to cook at home but Fua Hua has won me over this past month. It is comfort food that satisfys the palate. This is a family run business that draws a lot of locals. Good food and fair prices. Located in the East Bay section of TC near Toms Supermarket.

This place is always on point, the sesame chicken and the lo mein noodles man oh man. You cant get any better really. My husbands go to is the szcechuan chicken and beef is the best. Oh and lets not forget the ragoons….. MMMM delicous and speedy service at that. I use to get my wonton soup only from china fair, NOT anymore only from here so flavor full and way more wontons and onions.. MUST TRY

Five stars isn’t because it’s fine cuisine, it’s big portions of takeout served fast and hot. The combos are the way to go. Fried rice, stir fry, and an egg roll for about 12 bucks. It’s enough for two if you’re eating moderately. The space is basic and funky, but I’ve watched them cook dozens of times and their food safety seems very solid. It’s the only place in town ill consider for takeout

We oederd 2 sweet and sour chicken combos, 2 General tao’s combos, egg drop and sweet and sour soup. Everything eas fine. Reminded me of mall chinese food. Sauces are all in packets thry dont have homemade hot mustard or plum sauce. The girl who waited on me was quick. Our bill was over $80. But we all had leftovers. It was just a carryout storefront if I remember correctly. Parking was super easy pulled right up. I will try it again and maybe order less food. See what the other openings turn out like.

Try to time your pick up out because it gets HOT in the waiting area. The food is worth it, though. Large assortment of vegetable and bean curd based options. My sesame bean curd was delicious. My son said his chicken fried rice was the best he ever had. Wife loved the variety of veggies in her steamed vegetable dish. Fair prices. Friendly and efficient service. Recommend.

Have eaten at this place for years and have never been disappointed. Went yesterday 12/04/25 worst food ever don’t know what changed but the general Taos chicken the sauce was like sweetened catchup. And the sesame chicken was the same but a touch sweeter.
