Everything was a vibe but the FOOD , the sausage tasted really funny . And there was hair on my food. I told the waitress but I believe I deserve a FULL REFUND for my traumatized experience. But she just removed the item off my ticket.

Nice diner with a very friendly staff. It is clean. The food portions are very generous but the prices reflect that. It is still very reasonably priced. The bacon was delicious as were the home fries. The eggs were cooked to perfection. My only criticism is that the pancakes were somewhat dry. I usually eat pancakes with just butter but I had to put syrup on them to get them down. They do come with powdered sugar already applied. If you do not like this like I do ask for them to hold it up front. Overall a good experience. I will definitely go back and try some other menu options.

I was this close to turning around when I saw the health score was a 92, but I decided to do it for the plot, and honestly, I’m glad I did.
The service was great and the food hit the spot. I got a solid plate with generous portions (already ate half my potatoes before I remembered to take a pic). Prices were very reasonable too.
My man ordered a salad, and it was definitely more like cheese with a side of salad. The tomatoes weren’t even sliced — just big tomato halves sitting on top. But again, the portion was massive, so no real complaints. (The picture is AFTER he sliced the tomato himself )
Glad we gave it a chance. It’s one of those places that surprises you in a good way.

I ordered breakfast thru door dash, the amount of food and the quality is off the chart!!! Definitely going to try lunch/dinner menu, and I will definitely order breakfast from sunshine from here out!! This place is better then going to grandma’s!!

What a find!!! Went in for breakfast, which my husband devoured (Mama’s Plate). Once I saw the authenticity of the place, however, I broke my own rule of monotony and ordered something new – the steak chilaquiles in green sauce. To say this dish was simply “tasty” or “delicious” would be an insult of the highest order. This dish was sublime – an absolute artistic melange of flavor and textures that christened my day with joy. Add to that the pristine cleanliness of the entire place coupled with the superb service of the lovely Miss Jasmine and you have an entire experience, not just a meal.

We visited the Kannapolis location on Saturday around 12 noon for brunch. The restaurant was busy but we were seated quickly with no wait. The gentleman at the front greeted us as soon as we walked in. He was very friendly. Our server was Margarita. Her customer service was great. She had a very warm and welcoming demeanor and smile. You could tell that she cared. The food was hot and delicious. I highly recommend their coffee! It’s always delicious with a little cream and sweetener. I ordered the grilled chicken wrap and potato rounds. I am working my way through the menu…at both the Kannapolis and Concord location. They are both equally good brunch spots. Talk about consistency! You get a lot of food for the money. Prices are fair. Many thanks to Margarita for a great customer dining experience! Keep her around – she’s awesome.

Busy place. Small sitting area. Our table was right in front of door everytime door opened cold air blew in. Staff busy but not very helpful. Server never returned after receiving food. Food was good. Pancakes are amazing!!! The absolute best.

1st time at this restaurant…..it was recommended by my son…..we both like chicken fried steak so that’s what I got….it was very good and flavorful crispy outside tender inside….the sawmill gravy was a little watery and not a lot of flavor….the mashed potatoes and gravy was good the fired okra was awesome…my family kept grabbing a piece of okra I had to order another dish of it…..the Mac and Cheese was not too good as my son had said but I had to try it….it was not cheesy or flavorful I got some extra american Cheese put on it and added salt and pepper to it it was a little better but not much…..the sweet tea which I love was on point…..overall a good dining experience I will definitely go back and try other items…..the staff were very friendly and our waitress was real welcoming
