Delicious authentic Turkish food. We came here twice, and both times were great. We met the restaurant owner who was very gracious and kind and server is tea with Kadaifi. Quick service, clean restaurant, delicious food. Will definitely come by anytime we’re in town.

I fully enjoy every time I come to cafe 220 and often bring a friend. Their spanakopita plate tastes as good as it looks- I highly recommend! The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I also really appreciated how my friend and I were given some tiny cups of tea on the house without us asking for them! They did this for me and another friend on a different occasion too so it seems like they regularly give complimentary tea if they can tell you’re staying to chat a bit longer. I will continue coming back and recommending to friends. Surprised they don’t have a higher rating!

I had a fantastic dining experience at Café 220. The “Arni Kokinisto”— tender diced lamb with tomatoes, onions, eggplant, and bell pepper baked in a clay pot—was absolutely delicious! The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service made the meal even better. Highly recommend this spot for authentic Turkish dishes!

Meats are perfectly seasoned. Hummus is bold & smooth. Tzatziki is tangy & thick. Vegetables are fresh & crisp. Rice is aromatic & fluffy.

Well I tried lamb kebab, it came with salad, rice and bread. The lamb had great aroma, salad was really fresh. I was actually bit hungry as well and the aroma of lamb kebab was really something to eat. It was really juicy n delicious, everything was fresh but I felt that bread was lagging behind. You can see I finished every bit of the plate and the salad also had olive oil which added to its flavor. If you’re in downtown Palo Alto and looking for tasty halal food, it’s a must try out.
The service was nice and staff was polite. They did serve a complimentary Turkish tea at the end, it’s visible in the second picture but I already had made up my mind to rate this restaurant.

When you first walk into Cafe 220, the first thing you always see is Gilberto cooking, he usually greets you with a smile (he has a cool mustache too), then you walk to place your order and Hasan, Nil, or Yusuf take your order with pleasure, they make suggestions, and explain what every dish has if you have questions. I particularly like their suggestions, I can go and just say, “make me a dish” and I have not once being disappointed. Their service and attention is excellent, and if I was to describe what makes Cafe 220 special, is that they are friendly, polite, and treat customers with respect.
My favorite selections to eat here are the Tantuni wrap, you can ask them to add rice, and it makes a difference, this dish was once suggested by Hasan, and then Gilberto added rice one day, and that became my favorite, the Combo Mixed Grill is another favorite, very healthy, rich in vegetables, salads and meats. The Adana and Chicken Gyro Plates are a good choice for lunch, but if you are really hungry you can always get the Alexander Kebab, and if you are not that hungry, you can always pick the Lamb & Beef or Chicken gyro wrap.

Refreshing and tasty. I got the lamb kebab plate, and the lamb was high quality with tasty spices. The side salad was refreshing and had good dressing. The rice was fresh even at an odd hour to eat lunch/dinner (3:45 PM). The owner gave me some complimentary tea, too: again, refreshing! I will be back to try the lamb stew, which looks tasty and interesting.

This place was really good! My sister has came here for years, it was my first time actually eating there, so I wanted to see what she was hyping about. What I was looking for was flavor, non-oiliness, fresh vibes, and overall good taste. They hit everything.
We started off with the Mediterranean Combo, it’s a collection of appetizers in one. It’s a great way to sample each one and try! All of them were flavorful and unique, the hummus tasted so fresh and flavorful, compared to store bought. My faves from that was the Tzatziki, Hummus, and the Lobi.
My entree was the Chicken Shish-Kebab, and YUP! So good, the chicken was so flavorful and juicy, and the sides perfectly balanced everything. My sister had a Lamb and Beef combo, so I tried her meats to see if they were up to par too, and they were great as well. This place was delicious, and what I appreciated was that everything wasn’t oily, heavy, or bland; it was perfect. This place tends to be slow most of the time, but i’m not sure why. Y’all are PLAYING!!! The employees were all so sweet, even offered free tea for us, which was delicious. Looking to come back soon, give this place some luv <3
