I am a big fan of Mexican food! They always serve up some fresh tortilla chips and their houses also but we decided to get Ranchero guacamole. If this is all you order it will satisfy you mini vacation south of the border. My go to is the grilled chicken fajita taco salad with the shell on the side, add squash, black beans, and pico de giyo!! Now that is a winner winner chicken dinner! On this cold winter day though I went with something more American… I was really feeling the cheeseburger.Normally I would persecute someone who ordered a cheeseburger and fries, it’s like going to a steak house and getting chicken strips, but I did. The cheese burger is delicious but it is a bit on the steep side at almost $20, however the fries come with perfectly seasoned ground beef and liquid gold aka queso! My daughter was with me and ordered the grilled steak, rice and cheese with a side of perfectly ripened . And you can not go to a Mexican restaurant without indulging in the Mexican Coke! It is real sugar, crisp cold bubbly that brings your favorite flavors together. And as I am headed out I can’t forget my flan ! It is so good! I don’t know who makes it but you will not be disappointed!

However, the culinary experience did not meet expectations. The tacos were served wrapped in aluminum foil, and the meat was notably dry and lacked flavor. Similarly, the T-bone steak, which bore a resemblance to fajitas with a bone, was also devoid of taste, and the accompanying vegetables were cut into excessively large pieces.

I was in town visiting with my parents and we stopped at El Mazatlan for dinner and we were really glad we did! The food was good, with decent portions and all the classic Mexican dishes you’d expect at a place like this, and served hot and fresh. The service was impressively quick, which made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Even though the place was busy, we were seated right away but did feel slightly rushed after we were done. The staff were friendly and attentive though without being overbearing. The atmosphere was fun and casual, perfect for a relaxed meal with family. Whether you’re just passing through like we were or you’re a local looking for a reliable spot, El Mazatlan is definitely worth a visit, for a laid-back dinner or even a quick lunch.

The food was good. Prices were decent. What sucked was that I ordered a NON alcoholic margarita. I stated non alcoholic when I asked the price and when I ordered it. When I got it, it was alcoholic and it was strong. I’m in my 3rd trimester so I’m very upset. They didn’t even ID me. (I am not old enough to pass the no ID rules. I’m 21.) I would come back when I’m not pregnant, but I don’t trust them while I’m pregnant.

Oh my goodness. This was so super good! It is a beautiful restaurant and the menu is HUGE! A hard decision for sure. Sometimes with such a large menu the food is only ok..Not in this case. The staff was always busy even though it was late on a Monday so not super busy. They were not just sitting around that’s for sure. They have really good margaritas. I had on the rocks and my Husband had frozen. My Husband had the burrito dinner. I had the pineapple fajita. It’s plenty for two people to share that’s for sure. We live just south of Nashville so it’s an hours drive. WORTH IT!!

Stopped at Lowes and figured we would try a new restaurant nearby. Quickly greeted and taken to table. Drinks ordered and chips came. Service was great…and that was all that was good. Food came out crazy quick and I have never been in a Mexican restaurant where the plate isn’t super hot. Nope, my plate and all 4 enchiladas were cold. Thinking this was how they came, kept trying and just disgusting. My wife had a quesadilla and it was also bad. Salsa tasted like spaghetti sauce or marinara and we won’t be coming back.

I can’t even begin to explain well enough how much we like this place! It is clean..well decorated…clean restrooms..friendly staff..and well..The FOOD IS OUTSTANDING & the portions for the price is awesome! It’s worth the winding roads & curves for us to get from adolphus to Franklin to come to this restaurant. The best Mexican restaurant I have ever encountered!
