I recently dined at YouYu, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing compared to the standards I usually expect at Hard Rock properties.

I ordered several dishes to get a sense of the menu: fried rice, beef with broccoli, hot and sour soup, and crispy duck. Sadly, every dish fell below expectations. The fried rice lacked the fragrance, seasoning, and wok flavor that makes even a simple rice dish memorable. The beef with broccoli was underwhelming, with the beef tasting bland and the sauce lacking depth. The hot and sour soup, which should be bold and well-balanced, was thin and neither flavorful nor satisfying. The crispy duck was the biggest letdown — instead of being rich, flavorful, and crisp, it came out dry and without much taste.

Service was polite but did little to make up for the food quality. Given that this is inside a Hard Rock Hotel, I expected a higher level of execution and consistency. Unfortunately, this visit did not reflect the reputation or brand that Hard Rock is known for.

I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and improves its recipes and quality control because the setting has potential, but the food as it stands does not meet the mark.

Our flavorful food, the quick service, even all that goes on at HardRock Casino, its as if we are in a separate restaurant. The Manager Joe, Kim and the rest of his staff will treat you well. We will return often and soon!

Very relaxing mood. Evan was our waitress and she was very nice. We had different varieties of food to try as it was our 1st time there. The soup is huge for $16.00. I would have given 5 stars, but my food sweat & sour chicken came out way before his chicken fried rice. I was done eating when he got his food.

We have eaten here a handful of times with the Salt and Pepper Shrimp, Shaken Beef, and Mongolian Beef having become our go to items, can’t go wrong with any of those. We just tried the Crispy White Fish and Singapore Noodles for the first time this last visit and wanted to give a shout out to Chef James and Chef Adam for a great meal. We really enjoyed the curry flavor of the noodles and the fish was cooked perfectly, highly recommend. Also want to highlight the great service we had from Brandi and the pleasantness of the manager, Joe.

the service was impeccable. Thank you to Mariah for being so attentive and answering all our questions with a smile! The food was great and fresh and portions are quite big! Only critique is that the music was a little loud however we were sitting right under the speaker. Will be back again and ask for Mariah!

Walked around the casino for an hour waiting for this place to open today. I must say it was worth the wait! The spring rolls were HUGE stuffed with shrimp roast pork and noodles. The peanut sauce was disappointing . It wasn’t a sauce at all, more like a lump of peanut butter with peanuts on top. I also got the Yang chow fried rice which had lots of plump juicy shrimp and a delicious Chinese sausage. The rice was plentiful and full of eggs and spring onion. Last thing was dessert! A coconut bun. It was warm and delicious if you like coconut you will love this dessert. I sat at the bar and was thoroughly entertained by Kim! Wonderful attentive staff in this chic restaurant. I will be back!

A succulent Chinese meal?
I had the pleasure of going during restraunt week and had one of best cantonese meals I have ever had. Between the pot stickers and dumplings it is impossible to say which the best thing on the menu was. Brandi absolutely killed it as a waiter and Chef Adam is a master in his field. I cannot recommend Youyu enough!

Going in there with low expectations as diners that does a myriad of Asian cusines usually doesn’t do it well. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the food. The dishes served wasn’t as authentic and traditional as what I am used to but they tasted good overall As a big party, we had pho, Yang Chow fried rice, hot and sour soup, satay beef, and Korean fried wings, and half of a roast duck. The pho broth was bland, but I’ve haven’t gotten good pho broth in Ohio area yet. It was acceptable. Everything else about the pho was acceptable. The Yang Chow fried rice was very good and followed the traditional recipe. Well done. The hot and sour soup was unique but good. Korean fried wings were too salty per the party and doused in too much sauce. The outside was hard rather than crunchy. Satay beef was okay. The roast duck deserves its own category.

The roast duck itself tasted phenomenal. It’s nothing like the authentic half a duck I’m used to eating in New York, but this tasted great flavor and texture wise.

However, when a man in a suit bought us our roast duck, he dropped the duck leg onto the floor. In Asian culture, the duck leg is the most valued part of the dish. He of course offered to replace it, but we feel that he picked it up from the ground and ask the chef to heat it up again and gave it to us. Very offended by this act. It is as if he is mocking my culture. If you drop a piece to the ground, especially the most valuable part of the dish, the proper service in a decent restaurant would be re-make the entire dish.

Food was overall good, but service was horrible, especially if it was a manager who bought us the duck and dropped a piece of it to the ground.
