Everything was awesome. The fish tacos were perfectly crispy. The tortillas were good and fresh too, everything was. My wife’s La Bamba salad was huge and the chicken wasn’t dry! Table across from us got the fajitas and they looked phenomenal as well. Our server was Aida and she was on top of everything. The chipotle mayo was a bit messy and I was running out of clean napkins… Before I could look up she was dropping off more napkins. Love when servers anticipate what you need! Awesome hospitality!! I don’t live on the island but I will definitely be back.

The food is very good and reasonably priced. When busy the kitchen can get backed up in service can take some time. Nice indoor and outdoor seating options. Owner operated and has been in business on Long Beach Island for a number of years. @lbifoodies

I was here at La Bamba LBI in April so it was the off season. There was no one there but the restaurant was so nice a full of Mexican heritage it was infectious. The food looked so good online, but didn’t taste as amazing I was expecting, I got paella and there was so much seafood, I loved it. There was no Shirley temple or soda, but the lady told us it was because this was the off season. Anyway, I give it a 6/10.

Seems like everywhere on the island is like this.. mediocre service and top tier food. I don’t particularly mind it. The people are nice enough and it feels kind of like part of the experience of visiting LBI.

Softest steak I’ve ever had. Delicious and melts in your mouth. Unexpectedly amazing.

Check your emotional expectations and enjoy the food I guess

One of my favorite fish taco joints along the NE coast. I ordered the steak, fish, and shrimp tacos. The shrimp and fish tacos were amazing. We also ordered the Mole Chicken Enchiladas, and nachos. Enchiladas were okay, and nachos were good. Highly recommended for the fish and shrimp tacos . Staff was friendly.

Last night on the island and was feeling Mexican- my son and I walked in at 515ish. Staff greeted us and sat us right away. Waitress was wonderful. Food came out quick and hot. Very delicious homemade guacamole! I had the chicken chimichanga—yummy. My son inhaled his 3 chicken tacos (and he is picky). Will be back

Terrible Service and Inedible Food – Extremely Disappointed

I had a really disappointing experience with La Bamba in LBI. I placed a takeout order, and they forgot to include part of it in the bag. When I called and asked for either a refund or for them to deliver the missing items, they flat-out refused, which was incredibly frustrating.

When I finally did get the food, it was honestly disgusting—completely unappetizing and looked like something you’d feed a dog, not a paying customer. For a restaurant to mess up an order and then refuse to make it right is unacceptable.

There are too many great places on LBI to waste your time or money here. I definitely won’t be returning.

Would go agian because the food was amazing. I had the chicken soup, burrito de pollo, and mixed fajitas. Chicken soup was okay tasted like chili from Wendy’s. Burrito de pollo was very good and testy with a bit of spiciness. Mixed fajitas was good aswell. Everything was cooked well with alot of sauce. We walked in and saw the sign we need to wait to be seated but the workers didnt even acknowledge us. When i asked how long they kept on saying couple minutes but ended up being about 30 minutes. We placed the order immediately after being seated and the food took about another 25 minutes. The food was decently priced. Overall would definitely recommend because of how good the food is but the service could be much better.

This is one of my favorite restaurants on LBI! We eat here at least 3-4 times a week. The owners are absolute angels and so kind. They make everything by hand with so much love. An LBI must try

My dad and his partner recommended this place as they have a place a few streets away. The food did not disappoint. I got the veggie burrito , and fried pickles and my girlfriend got el pastor tacos , and the seafood ala valentina.

Everything was fresh and delicious. The portion sizes were more than enough. The service was friendly and fast.
