We have eaten Yakasoba here dozens of times, always great and full of flavour. Tonight, NOT. Chicken was so dry and tough we had to throw it away. Sooo bad, it’s a great restaurant and super staff.
Will still give it another go as this could be a one off.

Well, we thought we would try the Yakisoba again.
WOW!
Absolutely superb. The chicken was moist and tender, everything was cooked to perfection.
We had their sushi the other night, again, superb. One of the best in Victoria.
Tried the monkey brain, (yeah, doesn’t sound appealing) OMG! don’t let the name put you off. Incredible twist on sushi. 12 stars out of 10.

We had an amazing and delicious dinner experience! We went there with a group of 3, one person in their early 30s, one teenager and one pre-teen. It was a great place for all of us. The sushi was just outstanding. We had heard it was one of the better sushi places in town, and for us there was no doubt, best sushi we had had in a long time. The service was also impeccable. Every time we needed something, before we even had a chance to ask the waiter was bringing it around (water, tea, new pair of chopsticks because someone dropped theirs, etc). We highly recommend it and are definitely coming back.

Great presentation! Special spider roll was delicious! Maybe they are better at rolls than sushi because nearly every one of our 25 pieces were tasteless. Bones in our toro, which has never happened before with a belly piece. Cold and stale unagi. Agedashi tofu coating was starchy and not crispy. Very disappointing. Not sure where staff were. Maybe working with online orders because we didn’t see them often, given not many tables were full. Oh well.

Restaurant has chic vibe to it!
Tables for 2, booths for 4 and 3 booths for up to 8 people!

Staff seemed friendly!

Updated Edit after eating:

Be sure to be clear when asking for Tamago Nigiri, and not Tomago Roll
disappointed to get home and see that it was a roll and not nigiri.
Stretching a piece of tomago and charge more for is a no no!
The rolls were not well wrapped they were falling apart and poorly cut.

Salmon looked like it came out of grocery store package, tuna was mediocre, surf clam tasted like it came out of a frozen package as well.
Not impressed!

Really solid sushi spot with reasonably priced rolls. We came in on a Sunday evening and were seated immediately, had very polite and friendly service. The agedashi tofu was a great starter. The karaage comes as wings instead of boneless, but they were still very good. Our maki rolls were reasonably priced and filling. We recommend the Esquimalt roll if looking for a tasty maki roll with seared fish on top.

Amazing, my favourite sushi spot in Victoria, everything is delicious, they have great miso, and the salmon is great quality unlike a lot of other spots in the city, they don’t use farmed salmon such a gem

Kinda staff and amazing food! They’ve had the same staff for years so you really get to know them! Their food is amazing and the portions are reasonable! No dairy in their tempura, woot woot! Great with allergies!

My boyfriends mom came into town for the night on her business trip to VI and wanted sushi for dinner. We have been wanting to try this place out and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and we will be going back very soon! It was a wee bit pricey for a few items but nonetheless it was delicious and worth it.

Nice seating and good service! The food was just OK. The yakisoba was not great, I probably wouldn’t recommend it. The salad was yummy though! I didn’t have a chance to try the sushi but when I looked on other tables it looked good hahah

It is expensive for the quality though, I Would recommend trying their lunch special for better value.
