I wish I took better photos but I remembered after we already dove in. The food and service were both fantastic. We had two kids with us and they were very accommodating and kind. They also were able to easily offer vegan options which was great for us. The veggie dal and tofu dal were perfect. The samosas were well seasoned and fried to perfection.

The owners are amazing. I am vegan and I owned a business right across the street and they would always make sure my food was completely vegan. They have vegan menu options but if there was something else I wanted that wasn’t traditionally vegan, they would find a way to make it vegan for me whenever possible. The family is very hospitable, the food is consistently great, the prices are good for the amount of food you get. Indian food is my favorite type of food and I am happy to have a great spot locally to go to.

Its been years since I’ve reviewed Taste of India. I’ve been going there since 2000 and have never once been served a meal that wasn’t excellent. 25 years of utter consistency is almost unheard of. Tonight, I got the chefs goat special and it was perfection. And I always get their samosas because no one makes better samosas than this restaurant. They’re a treasure for the community.

I ordered Chicken shahi Korma, and garlic naan. I was honestly not very happy with what I received.
The garlic naan, was in fact not garlic naan but plain naan. I was surprised they did not even put ghee or cilantro on the naan ethier. It was large in size, served in halfs. Not bad but not what I expected.
The shahi korma was a major disappointment. The dish itself was very watered down, so much so it would not stick to the fork. I didn’t see anything in dish (nuts/raisins) just some orange liquified watery broth and chicken. The chicken itself was almost rubbery not true tandor. To say flavor was lacking is an understatement. I asked for hot. It was hot but as if they added liquid chili and flakes in the dish instead of real chilis as well. Considering I paid a premium compared to my usual spot Im very disappointed. High expectations but honestly I Couldn’t even eat it.
The rice was almost rubbery as well. I’m not sure if they are using a blender and microwave to make the the food but my dish at least tasted that way. For the same $32 I spent I could have gotten two of the same dish done the right way at my normal spot.

This place is legendary!

This is some of the most savory Indian food ever.

Very polite and friendly staff….very calm atmosphere. Started by 2 brothers 34 years ago…who still work there!

When you taste the food, you’ll be silent for like 10 seconds as you wonder “How is this so good….?”

I love this place. I met one of the chefs, who was worked here for 30 years!!!!!!!

If you care about tasty food as a priority, then this is your place!

I’m a big big fan.

Had a great time with my friends! The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. I ordered hot chicken curry and it made me sob spicy tears of pure joy The owner noticed and brought me a cup of rice pudding on the house. Overall great experience, and I will be back for more. Thank you!

Ordered Dal Makhani. I don’t know how can someone ruin a dal makhani! It truly takes talent I suppose..!

Asked me if I wanted Hot or Indian Hot. I said hot, and asked if they were gonna add red chilli powder (so I can say no to that). The guy taking thr order is an older guy, said he will use green peppers instead. I had ZERO clue that he would actually add green bell peppers in Dal makhani!

It was absolutely waste of my money and time!

Absolutely delicious food, and the service was super friendly. The chicken pakoora made for a great appetizer, and the naan was super fluffy. I would recommend this in a heart beat

I visit many restaurants and Taste of India has the best service I have ever had. The staff is friendly, courteous, speedy, and attentive. My water was refilled 3 times this past visit without needing to ask, my dish was modified without problems, and I was in and out within a half hour. I mistakenly ordered the medium spicy korma (I usually order mild and incorrectly assumed I could handle moderate spiciness) and they gave me a rice pudding on the house to cool my mouth down. Their cheese pakora with tamarind sauce is incredible, as is their lamb shahi korma (mild spice lol). My appetizer and entreé were $24 before tip, so it is definitely affordable.
