Ordered food from here for a New Years Day lunch and everyone enjoyed it! The food was very tasty and the quantity was way more than I expected so everyone got take home containers too. The people were super friendly when ordering, called again on the day of to confirm pickup time so the food would still be hot when picked up. All in all a great experience and would definitely recommend this place for taste and value.

One of the better Hakka spots in the Durham area. It’s mainly takeout even if you choose to dine in, food is served in takeout boxes with plastic cutlery. We tried the chicken fried rice and chili fish, and both were absolutely delicious. I’d rate the food 5/5. Everything else was fairly average, but the taste definitely stood out.

I love Hakka cuisine and this one did the job. I would have given a higher rating if I didn’t end up waiting almost 40 minutes when I was promised a 20 minute wait. I would have left if I didn’t pay in advance. I know it might have been peak time for them and there was only one person working out front, so bear that in mind.anyway, once I got my food I was alright. They didn’t go stingy on the rice nor the fish chili. I didn’t want to stop eating the eggplant cause it was so good. Shout out to the kitchen staff. I asked for them to temper down the spice and they certainly did. So clearly they can curtail orders which is a plus.

This is a fantastic local spot to get your Chinese Hakka fix. Really friendly lady helped me get my order done. The prices are excellent and they load up on the portions. The food is well made and tastes excellent so I highly recommend.

Best Indo Chinese ever!! This is real hidden gem in Scarborough. What a perfection in taste. Totally mouth watering. Loved their Beef Chilli and Chicken Chilli along with vegetable fried rice and Manchurian chowmein along with shrimps. TOO GOOD!!!!

This used to be one of the best Hakka places in the Ajax–Pickering area, but recently the food quality has gone downhill. I ordered the Thai Red Fish Curry today, and it barely had any fish—certainly not even 20 grams. Instead, it was mostly fried tofu with just a couple of battered fish pieces. Even those pieces tasted like they were fried in overused, overcooked oil. Overall, it was a terrible experience from what was once one of the best Hakka restaurants in town.

I ordered food from this place and received heavy thick soup and undercooked food. When I called the restaurant to complain the server was dismissive and extremely rude.I live 5 minutes away so I called immediately after checking it. She refused to let me speak with management to address the issue and claimed she “can’t do anything about” the situation of the food. I don’t recommend places like this with such rude customer service and have the inability to address customer concerns. There are several fine Chinese cuisines in Ajax, DON’T go to this one.

FRESH and tasty! Great value, this will be my go to place.
I like the food soo much that i went back to back. Yesterday i ordered Mancuhrian chicken, and today i ordered Genral Tha ho.
Comes to $14 dollars each, with tax, but the portion is big, and i could only finish half. And finished the other half later that day.
I also live in Courtice area, but my new job is in this area of Ajax. So i have to take-out. It is about a 30mins drive to get to my house, but, even then, the food was still hot once i arrived home.

Honestly I have mixed feelings about this place. I come here pretty often because it is halal. I haven’t tried a lot of the menu as I just order the chow mein. I just tried the Chilli chicken and It wasn’t bad. The spice and sauce was nice with the chicken being pretty tender. Reliability is the issue I have with this place. Often times I get tough meat and old tasteless food. Still better then most hakka spots. I would recommend this spot if you are travelling near by and want to have halal Asian cuisine. Their menu is huge which often is pretty scary as big menus are pretty sketchy. The meat is sourced from a halal meat spot so trust me when I say it’s hand cut halal.
Overall, this place doesn’t deserve 5 stars and barely deserves the 4 stars I gave it. The reason why I have it 4 stars instead of 3 is because of the portion and prices. One chow mein can fill up two big men or 3 maybe 4 children.
I won’t be eating the chilli chicken as it just isn’t for me but before you buy anything you should definitely have the Veggie, Chicken, or Beef Chow Mein.
Edit: I also forgot to mention the lady who works there is sometimes disrespectful to other customers. Please don’t take it to heart she has been working there for years by herself and they seem to be extremely understaffed. She is very nice when she gets to know you.
Edit 2: since coming back to this place it has seemed the quality of the food has drastically dropped. If you are coming by I wouldn’t recommend it as a halal food option. I would rather go to Mary Browns, Popeyes, or the bellagios pizza store right beside it.
This place is beyond inconsistency. It’s become more consistently terrible. I highly recommend you take your business elsewhere or if you want to get good food 1/20 times try it once lol.
