We made a visit to Pizza King and were very happy with our strombolis. This is a very nice and newly rennovated restaurant of one of our long time favorites. It is very clean in this place. Their food is great and their service is outstanding. Everything is very reasonably priced. It is realky easy to find using Google Maps and has plenty of free parking in their large lot.

Food was absolutely delicious. I ordered a med strom. Could have used extra sauce, but that’s my fault for not ordering it.
The service was horrible, the counter worker was in the lobby area spending time with what I’d assume is her very young daughter and another adult based on the conversation.

Disgusting!
Once upon a time, it was the best place to get a Texas barbecue.
They used to have the most awesome pizza.
The new owners started delivery service and got rid of the big girls who were generous with their portions.
In the process, they destroyed the business and they are obviously just in it for the money,
the employees obviously do not care about the product they put out. And they are very stingy with their toppings.
Perhaps they should try another business. Because they’re losers in this one.

Chill pizza joint with good food at a reasonable price. Staff were friendly and order was made in a timely manner.

I ordered a half a strom on Monday February 2nd and when I got home it was mainly bread with no meat or anything else. Worst sandwich ever!!!! I will not be back!!!!

I grew up eating at the original location. I was in town visiting family and had to have a Stromboli. It tasted just like I remember. Only thing is the sandwich is smaller but as with everything else. Other than that it was great!

EDIT—To the owner of this place. You have already been told numerous times all the issues you have at this place. Everything from punk teens working who have no idea what pizza king used to be from ZERO CHEESE being put on ANYTHING! Its a joke. This place is horrible. Its sad what you have done to this pizza king.
DO NOT order from this place. Disgusting. You think you miss the OLD pizza King, think again because this is NOT the pizza king it was before. $38 dollars for a pizza and it wS NOTHING but a HUNK OF SAUSAGE. Disgusting. This was suppose to be pepperoni and sausage pizza with EXTRA CHEESE. There is NOTHING but sausage on this and its not even done! Its raw all in the center. Never again. I will be calling corporate and if i do not get my money back i will dispute with my bank. Stay far far away from this unless you want a pizza that looks like this!

Pizza King is a “walk-in order” shop. There are no tables. I believe they also deliver.
If you want the best Stromboli in the world, ordering from Pizza King on Weinbach Avenue in Evansville, Indiana is what you need to do. Any time I am in town, I go here and get a whole, medium heat Stromboli. YUMMY! I believe they also ship frozen Stroms.
They also sell the famous Grippo’s BBQ Chips–to die for!

I’ve been a loyal customer of this location for years and have always recommended it to others—until now. Unfortunately, after my most recent experience, I won’t be returning.
I called in to order a “take and bake” and specifically requested it thawed, as I’ve done for over five years. The first person I spoke with told me that wasn’t possible, which was surprising. She then passed the call to the manager, who ultimately took my order. While the manager was somewhat curt, I assumed she was just busy and tried to give her the benefit of the doubt.
When I arrived to pick up my order, I waited at the counter for over five minutes without anyone acknowledging me. Thankfully, a very kind carry-out employee stepped in to assist, and I appreciated his effort. However, when he spoke to the manager about my order, she responded rudely—loud enough for both me and my son to hear. Her tone and words were completely unprofessional, and the way she addressed me at the counter was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had.
Even my son, who is usually very understanding and gracious with people, was shocked by her behavior. It left a lasting negative impression on both of us.
As much as I love the strombolis, no food is worth being treated that way. I truly hope the management addresses how customers are being treated, because this experience was incredibly disappointing.
