The other family ordered idli, dal makhani and rice.. I tasted the dal and 1 spoon had at least 4 slices of garlic
Odd part —
The sambhar is considered as a “combo” with idli or vada
They served the 2 orders of idli (1 order from each family) in 1 plate
When the host/server came to check on our table, he asked only how the dal makhani was, didn’t care about the idli and dosa
We ordered a mix of dosas and idly. The rava dosa was flavorful and enjoyable, and the punugulu they provided later was also good. However, the experience with other items was disappointing. Both the mysore masala dosa and lamb dosa had batter so overly fermented that they tasted sour and spoiled, which was very unpleasant. The idly was also stale and tasted rubbery.
When we raised the concern about the mysore masala dosa, the staff replaced it with punugulu, which we appreciated. It’s concerning when basic staples like dosa and idly—items that define a South Indian restaurant—are served in such poor condition.
Overall, while the service was polite and the rava dosa and punugulu were tasty, the quality and freshness of the dosa batter and idly need serious improvement.
Good atmosphere, nice staff.
