These folks can fry some seafood! I love when I’m working in Maxton. However, they are only opened Wednesday-Saturday and take cash only. The restaurant itself is nothing fancy, with a small parking lot. But there are several tables to offer dine-in.
The owners are a couple, as previous reviews mentioned don’t engaged in chit chat with customers but I have not had problems placing my orders when I arrive. The wife cooks the food and it is well seasoned. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is the jumbo shrimps aren’t even deveined so I could not enjoy what I was eating. Then I had to wonder how the oysters were prepped. But their croakers are delicious and you get a lot of food for your money. I would go out of my way to buy their fish dinners because I never get enough once I took that last bite!

Of course the food is good seasoned well and is delicious when hot. But you can’t choose 2 of the same sides, which sucks. I don’t think it’s worth the price they are asking because once you order your fish and add sides you’re looking at a 20 dollar plate. Service was a little rude as well. That’s just my experience.

One of the BEST PLACES to purchase fresh fried fish. The owners are the most sweetest people EVER. I have eaten fried fish at many restaurants and their fish by far bests all the rest. Their fish is not too salty or greasey. It’s so fulfilling. Fried just right and never soggy or sift. I love this place ❤️

We found this little gem while visiting the nearby college. It sits on a corner, behind an old, now closed down gas station in Maxton. It is barely recognizable but on the inside it’s two very hard working Asian mom and pop. The fish was absolutely delicious and fresh. The hush puppies were soft and perfectly made. The price for a plate with three sides was $13.99 well worth it. Definitely will visit here again.

This was a fairly good seafood eat in spot. Heavy on the salt yet fairly good food. I don’t understand how Chinese can set up businesses like this in black communities make boat loads of great income and yet think black people as a whole don’t like them? That is a lie from the pit of Hell! Division is not of God. I don’t get it. I will go back for good meal. I will just ask to decrease the salt.

I was calling in to place an order AND the guy was so freaking rude and nasty talking AND then he hung up in my ear. Now….I tried to be nice and proceed BUT I just couldn’t. People pay you for your service of providing food and you behave this way. Well I called back and explained to him that I was coming to place a hefty order but since you’re so rude we changed our mind. Then I told him his attitude is very rude and nasty and he needs to change his behavior. This time I hung up in his ear. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN Nand I will tell TELL OTHERS NOT TO GO THERE EITHER. POOR HOSPITALITY…PEOPLE TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE..

Food was ok but the owner is very rude. I first tried to make a call in order and he said they no longer take them. I told him I was outside and he said he didn’t care and hung up. Sad that people want you to spend your money with them. Two shrimp plates for $33 but they can’t even show common curtacy. Smh

This place is a hidden gem. The husband and wife work in tandem. The food is great. Each time we have been we have enjoyed the food. Would encourage you to try this place. Our children enjoys the food here as well.
