A Celebratory French Feast & One Of Our Top Five Favorites In Sarasota!
Dinner at Miguel’s French Restaurant on Siesta Key was nothing short of exceptional and easily earns its place as being one of our favorite restaurants! From start to finish, the guest service was over the top ~ warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The menu is outstanding. I chose the Beef Diane wrapped in puff pastry, which was rich, tender, and absolutely delicious! My friend ordered the Seafood Vent, and Oh My, talk about a treat! Each selection began with an appetizer choice of Shrimp Cocktail, their famous Garlic Soup or the soup of the evening which was a French Bean. Our table of six had all of the various selection and they were spectacular! I chose the French Bean and it was drool worthy! A relish tray with pate and a fresh garden salad accompanies each entree. All of their dressings are house made and their Bleu Cheese dressing is by far the very best! Entrees are served with a potato and vegetable and beautifully presented. Oh, it gets better as just when you think the evening is complete….Our server, Kristen announces that dessert is on its way. A light, silky, Chocolate Mousse was the perfect celebratory finish!
A very special shout-out to Dan, the manager, who truly went above and beyond to ensure an exceptional evening. His professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail elevated a truly wonderful experience into something memorable. Wanted a good meal out after eating at other local spots & leaving dissatisfied. Walked by Miguel’s, read the reviews & enjoyed the best meal of my trip. As a solo diner they were happy to seat me at a table for 2 but I chose the bar instead and enjoyed the same level of fabulous service as tables near by.
My main course of Duck could not have been better. Very meaty, crisp skin, moist meat, flavorful sauce, and accompanying garnishes were all delicious, right down to the bread basket with a little pate & salad.
Dan, 1 of the owners & bartender, couldn’t have been more gracious or supplied better dinner conversation.

absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere is cozy and elegant — you really feel like you’re in France. The food was delicious, every dish was full of flavor. The service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and professional. Everything was just perfect. I’ll definitely come back!

This was the best food and experience. Meal was just fabulous! Cocktails were so awesome and unique! Inside, the restaurant the decor gives you a cozy outdoor European feel, even though you are indoors. I liked that they thought about keeping the sound level down with sound dampening ceiling tiles and carpeted floors. You could have a nice quiet level conversation and enjoy a great meal. Went for the Savor Sarasota week 2025.

We enjoy the atmosphere of Miguel’s, as if you’re not at a beachside restaurant. Our server was very attentive and personable. We can’t stop raving about our dinner! I had the Les Fruit de mar for my entree, the flavors were so good! Hubby thoroughly loved the Mixed Grill with lamb, filet mignon, and veal. It was a great meal for the money. We highly recommend!!

We have visited Miguel‘s multiple times over the years visiting Siesta Key & have always enjoyed our experience. They have great parking and we can usually get a reservation last minute the day of. Cocktails are always good. We love the table-side Caesar salad service as well. The dressing is made in front of you from scratch & is delicious. If salad isn’t for you, you have to get the French onion soup. It is absolutely amazing. From there my favorite entree is Le Boeuf Diane. Beef & puff pastry = a beautiful masterpiece! The prices are great for the flavor packed entrees.
Our favorite dessert option is the dessert sampler where you can pick 3 desserts to try. They also have amazing table-side flambé dessert options.

Dinner and a show! Tableside Caesar salad and dessert. If you walk away hungry, it’s your own fault. Shawn, our server, has been there 15+ years and it shows. He had 3 flame desserts going at the same time.
