My recent coffee jaunt, was a GOOD one! Might be my top favorite of all the shops I’ve visited thus far. Start to finish! It’s called Northernness Coffee in Zelienople! As soon as you walk in, get comfortable because the atmosphere will have you thinking you’re in some beautiful cozy lodge and you wont want to leave! The owners and their 3 children were SO kind and engaging. I don’t see that in a lot of shops. The craftsmanship that surrounds this shop is impeccable! The owner is responsible for that. It’s beautiful! The aesthetic of the space is just so welcoming. Now for the coffee? 10/10!! Yes, one of THE best! A must would be the espresso bar! The food & sweets, delicious. That warrants another trip in and of itself. A strong recommendation was to try the vibrant blue colored latte named Misty Mountain Matcha, and my sister loved it! It was a win win across the board! If you are ever in the area of Zelienople, stop in. You can thank me later! You’ll love it!

Had a coffee and breakfast sandwich here on a Saturday morning. They used a focaccia bread that seemed unique to this location, it was quite filling, and the medium roast coffee was nice. The service was kind and attentive. Atmosphere was quite impressive with appealing woodwork, outdoorsy books, and large windows. I’m not sure you could expect to get a high end single origin coffee here, but it may be the only coffee shop around that will leave you with a yearning for a forest hike.

Cute coffee shop in downtown Zelienople. We decided to walk around the downtown area and wandered in here looking for a coffee. I loved the vibes and decor, and the latte I ordered was super tasty. Great quality coffee and roasted locally. Also family owned! Great spot.

I’ve been to this coffee shop many times, and every visit is a wonderful experience. The owners are some of the friendliest people I’ve ever met, and the staff is always warm and welcoming. Their coffee and food are homemade and absolutely delicious. From the moment you walk in, they make you feel comfortable and right at home. I highly, highly recommend this place! ☕️

The coffee shop is very nice with a great atmosphere. The coffee was great-the protein muffin was delicious. The baristas were so kind. Getting a seat is hard. There are not many places to sit. Three booths so when someone is in one you lose all that seating. Lovely little place tho!

This morning was our second time in Northerness. The staff are very polite and our lattes were made exactly right. Proper foam, correct temp and the flavors and syrup are high quality.
The cafe has a very nice atmosphere and design and there was a decent number of people hanging out and working at the time of our visit.

EXACTLY what I love in a cafe – unique and comfortable interior styling, extensive and unique menu and quality goods. I look forward to returning, sharing this space with my friends and family, and trying more of the menu! The misty mountain matcha and earl grey shortbread were PHENOMENAL. I’d love if they did flights so I could try more at once!

as we were driving through a winter storm we all agreed that we should take a stop at a cafe and as soon as we got there we felt wonderfully cozy and the hosts greeted us with a welcoming smile. We can’t forget that awesome food. Here’s what we ordered herb bread it was nice and warm but the peppermint mocha was twice as good they also had a great variety of gluten free goods. AMAZING I WAS SHOCKED

Very disappointed in the ownership of this shop. It had been on my list for a while as someone new to the area, but it closes too early for me to get there on weekdays after work. One night, my girlfriend and I had finished dinner and drinks across the street and agreed we needed to sober up before driving. So we went back to my car at about 8:30 PM where I was parked in a PUBLIC USE street spot, and sat in the backseat to talk and kill time. The owner of Northerness felt compelled to stare at us through the window and then whistle at us. I opened the car door and he told us to move the car for “whatever we’re doing” because this was a “family business.” Mind you, this was open street parking, not designated to the shop, AND the shop had been closed for hours at that point. We were literally just sitting there talking in the car, but he felt the need to be intrusive and homophobic. The whole thing was unnecessary. Will definitely not be coming to this place and will be telling everyone I know to do the same. Do better.

My husband and I are definitely coffee snobs, so we don’t say this lightly. I can only drink decaf, and finding a truly good decaf latte is rare — but wow. This was hands down the top 2 decaf latte I’ve ever had. Smooth, flavorful, and perfectly made.
And don’t even get me started on the molasses cookie… phenomenal. Soft, rich, and the perfect pairing with coffee.
The ambiance is so warm and welcoming, and the family running the shop couldn’t have been friendlier. You can truly feel the love and care they put into everything they do.
We definitely have a new favorite coffee shop. ☕️❤️
