Absolutely amazing breakfast!. Don’t let the simple look of this place fool you because it’s anything but that!. Service is spectacular and super fast and the food is finger licking good!. Prices are super reasonable especially in this economy it’s much appreciated.
God bless the Angel hands who prepared my meal. I was hooked on my first bite!. My French toast was nice and fluffy and absolutely amazing! The hash brown potatoes were immaculate! Never had such interesting potatoes before; crisp to perfection and golden brown on the outside and nice and soft on the inside and a perfect sunny side up egg.
I have found my new favorite breakfast spot and I 100% WILL BE BACK FOR MORE!

Jerry’s Café is a cozy spot with only 12 tables, but big on flavor! The chorizo omelet is incredible, and the crisp spaghetti hash browns are a must-try. Service is prompt and polite, parking is easy, and the family-friendly vibe makes it welcoming. Bonus: the wall art is fantastic—adds so much charm!
It is a community! When the waitress has a cake ready for a regulars birthday!

This was such an amazing little find in my old neighborhood after a few decades of being away from it. The coffee comes in a properly oversized mug which I appreciate. Less refills small dining area which I liked. Gives you a chance to look at someone and wonder what there day is going to be. The waitress was courtesy and astute to refills the biscuit that came with my omelette which was good was one of the best biscuits I’ve ever eaten light fluffy and moist. The hash browns were the best I’ve ever had. They had a different almost angel hair pasta width and length which made them the perfect crispiness I always try to get at home and elsewhere but fail to do so. All told my breakfast came out to 20$ with tip. There menu is one I’m going to explore more often. They also had a house special of different shrimp dishes. An omelette grits and something else. I think the specials are different every week. So like I mentioned I look forward to my future visits.

Jerry’s Cafe is a local diner, small business. The owner is incredibly nice and personable, and the cook is excellent!
I had the steak omelet special and it was sooo good! I would have been thrilled to have been served this in a fancy 5-star restaurant. My husband had a pecan pancake, which was so big it was served on a pizza pan. The value for the price is insane.
The coffee is very good, nothing fancy, just good coffee, and that is just what I wanted. There are only about 10 tables and a small counter area, so you may have to wait. But this is well worth the wait!

Update: June 2023
We went to Jerry’s for Mother’s Day. All I can say is it was all right. I thought maybe being Mother’s Day, they were off. We went back on Sunday. I’m sad to say Jerry’s is no longer a hidden gem. It’s gone down. The portions are noticeably smaller, the service was ok at best, instead of printing new menus several items are just crossed off. The prices have gone up considerably. I could excuse all of this if the food was good, it just isn’t. The chairs are worn and cracked as are the plates and cups. This is so unfortunate. We won’t be back.
Jerry’s is a hidden gem. The food is fresh and delicious. Service is always good. We’ve been for breakfast and lunch. Their club sandwiches are probably the biggest and best in KC. If you’ve never had a pancake from Jerry’s, you’re missing out. It’s my daughters go to place when she’s heading back to school.

Had the Schnitzel special with spetzel and red cabbage today, it was 5 stars!!! The big home made cinnamon rolls are the best ever. They usually run out so don’t delay. A little hole in the wall diner with really good food no matter what you order, it will not disappoint.

Hole in the wall local diner vibe which I love. They had the Crawfish cake eggs Benedict as a special, and it was easily one of the best Benedicts I’ve personally had! Food fantastic, lovely atmosphere, good service, and the pricing is affordable which was a fantastic change compared to all the high end places around. I just wish I could post a pic.

I almost wanted to give this place a 3 just because the ½ and ½ curdled in my coffee.. anyone who loves breakfast needs a good coffee. However, I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt since the coffe was not “see through”. So the coffee probably had decent flavor had the non expired creamer not botched it for me. I got the turkey provolone omelet w/sourdough bread (and most likely pace salsa). It was a reasonable sized omelet and was pretty darn good. The turkey was moist. The spinach was good and the avocado slices on top were a nice touch. Bf got the BIG JOHN full size.. it’s a LOT of food. Gravy was fair as I tried it but I could tell his over easy eggs were cooked to perfection. Waitress was nice. It’s a small joint, but worth trying out I suppose if you don’t put ½ and ½ in your coffee.
