Taco Espress in Perth Amboy was a great experience. We tried the birria tacos, the molcajete, chicken tacos, carnitas tacos and the tamales — everything had good flavor and generous portions. The molcajete came well-served to the table and was definitely the highlight. Fast service, nice atmosphere and fair prices. I would go back.

Came because of the reviews. Stayed for the food. One of the best mexican food experiences i have had. The food is authentic and fresh. These were the best nachos ive had! Such a simple yet filling meal. The birria tacos were good too but the nachos were better. I also recommend the chicken sandwich. It was very filling and fresh.

Drove here about 30 minutes after seeing their reels on Instagram. Food was amazing & so authentic. Horchata & their fresh homemade hotsauce were my favorites to accompany the dishes. We had birria tacos, tacos al pastor, rice & black beans. The kids had flautas and they put the toppings on the side as requested so they could add what they wanted. They also shared some fries. The homemade corn tortillas are delicious! I also ordered a tamale dulce to go which I haven’t tried yet but it looks amazing. There was a great selection of drinks and they also had so many Mexican candies & treats like chicharones de harina. We will definitely be back.

I tell you what, I will be coming back, the tacos where super good… melts in your mouth type of taco, the salsa not even that spicy it’s good flavor too… if was my first time here and it was totally worth it. Been a while since I had good birra taco, last time it was in Texas… so if u want to try some, pull on up, bc im definitely coming back

It was a really nice experience. The lady up front and the cooks were super nice. The store is clean, well organized and the food is really good. They have piñatas a lot of drinks and many treats and desserts that you would topically find in a Mexican deli or even Mexico itself (I’m saying it from experience). I ordered 3 tacos de carne asada and an horchata. The tacos were good and the horchata was suuuuuupeer smooth!

I was so excited to try this place for the first time but it really didn’t live up to the hype. I ordered a burrito, 6 tacos, and an order of flautas to go. The waitress forgot to put the flautas into the system so when I got home we didn’t have the flautas in the bag. Since they didn’t ring them up we weren’t charged for them which was a good thing. The food we did get was seasoned well but the meats in both the burrito and the tacos were overcooked and super dry, especially the steak and chicken tacos. The waitresses were somewhat friendly but could’ve done a better job at taking the order correctly. When I called about the missing flautas she was apologetic and offered to make it up to me next time I go. Unfortunately it was a bad first impression and I probably won’t go back.

This place is kind of tucked away. Drive too fast, and you’ll miss it, which would be a shame because this place has one of the BEST Tacos that I’ve had in a long time. Definitely in my top 3 Taco spots. The lettuce, tomatoes, and onions were all fresh, and the MEAT (Al Pastor aka Pork) was FANTASTIC!
I had the #9 combo, which is 1 Taco and 1 Tostada. I was FLOORED by the flavor. I think I let out an audible “Oh Yeah…” when I bit into the Taco.
I’ll be going here again. Maybe today. I just gotta walk about 30 minutes in 23-degree weather. It was worth it before, and will be worth it again…

Ordered a taquiza . The sizing in portion is an insult. If I wanted a happy meal I would have gone too mcdonalds. The tortillas alone were stiff and dry didn’t even taste fresh. The tacos were never this small it was a joke gone too far. My hand in comparison was twice the size. I think this is my last time ordering from this spot. This is a perfect example of trying to cut corners in cost, it’s genuinely gone down hill.
