A hidden gem of a Mexican Restaurant in Lincoln Park.
Everything from the ambience to the Food was amazing. Hard-Working people. I highly recommend it. Taste, Service, Clean and Friendlieness. Horchata (Drink), Salsa (Amazing), Torta De Milanesa, Shrimp quesadilla, Chicken (Pollo) a la Parilla, and Enchiladas (Chicken). The rice and beans were hot.
We will be back. You will not be disappointed. Support local!!!!

If you are looking for authentic Mexican food look no further than this restaurant! The friendly service and food was amazing, I have been to this restaurant 3 times and all 3 times it was amazing and consistent. From the al pastor tacos, to the chilaquiles, to the steak fajitas it was all great. I Will be definitely be returning here!

My boyfriend and I walked in and had some of the best mexican food we’ve ever had! We got the ceviche tostada, cheesy chicken rice with fresh tortillas, and quesabirria. They were all absolutely phenomenal!! Definitely coming back

I wanted to love the tacos because they had such good reviews but they were not good. I ordered ground beef tacos and there was no flavor or seasoning in them at all. It tasted like burnt ground beef and cheese only. I’ve never had a taco that had no seasons in it so it was really weird. My boyfriend got the steak tacos and they also had no flavor but he said they were “o.k.” but had no flavor. The beans and rice tasted fine but they were cold..we live 3 minutes away. So if you want flavorful tacos I do not recommend. I’ve tried every taco truck and restaurant in Lincoln Park and every single one is them has more flavorful tacos. Really Im just hoping they forgot to add the seasonings today lol But I guess I’ll never know since I won’t be coming back.

We have been to Altenos and have had a great experience both times! The food is delicious! Our favorites so far are the birria tacos and quesadillas. The enchiladas are also great. Would definitely recommend checking this place out!

You really can’t go wrong with this place! Conveniently located on Fort Street, it offers great prices, friendly staff, and absolutely amazing food. Every single sauce they serve is full of flavor and complements the dishes perfectly. Overall, I thought everything tasted phenomenal.
