This is an interesting place to dine in. The food was really good, but the ambiance was really not welcoming, as shown in the picture with the dilapidated ceiling and worn-out furniture. The quality of the restroom was also so-so. This place is in serious need of renovation. I will probably come again to get carry out but probably not dining in.

Maybe the best Indian restaurant I have visited. This place is a hole on the wall in the heart of Downtown Richmond Virginia. It’s an all you can eat buffet just a complete range of flavors and high quality food. The taste is unbelievable flavorful. I highly recommend it and definitely I will come back agai. It’s so good!

The food was yummy. The lemon rice was a vibe. I will try to recreate it at home. The building is a bit older and didnt appear to be busy upon entering. However that was not the case because there were lots of people picking up to go orders. If I return I will do the same. Overall, it was a good experience. It was my husbands first time eating Indian food. He was pleased!!

Stopped in here today for a quick lunch. I give this place 4 stars for the category I feel it falls under. This is definitely a “quick eats” type place.

Most of the food items were tasty but the cauliflower and potatoes dish tasted off and was a bit lukewarm instead of hot.

Overall I believe the lunch buffet was a good value. The host and cashier were both nice.

This is a little “whole in the wall” type restaurant for sure. The interior is nothing special but the food was fine.

Update: Ate here again after a few years. Stopped for lunch again. What I was able to eat tasted pretty good but there were several buffet items that were never refilled in the almost hour I spent there. Took about 30 mins to refill the Nan even. To their credit they did reduce my meal price by $3 for the inconvenience (after I asked) but I got to take a star from them because of the experience.

Worst Indian food in Richmond and its surrounding areas. Ordered samosas, and they were bland; the aloo filling hardly had any flavor. Complained to the person on the phone on he said he can’t help it, as they get their samosas premade from somewhere else. Another day, I ordered chaats, and the tomatoes were cut in huge chunks, not finely chopped, and the onions were white, not purple, and tasted old; the chaats also didn’t have any sev nor coriander as topping, like the photo on their website advertised. Even the chai here is bland and not kadak. Ordered a thaali one day, and it was very subaverage; no salads, papads, raitas; as a vegetarian, I didn’t even have the option of paneer. Not to mention, the service also sucks and they seem understaffed all the time. You have to ring the bell and wait every time you want something (e.g. water), and they don’t even offer filtered water!

Please take Gobi manchurian off the menu.
Didnt remotely taste like the Indo – Chinese Gobi Man and it was PINK. PINK!!!
Horrible tasting.
Rice was so undercooked. It just poked and poked the throat. Rice should not be hard for an Indian restaurant.
I would not recommend this restaurant. Waste of money to spend and regret.

A no nonsense decor but wonderful diverse menu of Indian food. Went with a large group and were very well cared for. Will absolutely go again.

Really loved the garlic naan and sag paneer. They can do mild which is great for folks who can’t handle spice. The Butter Chicken had a nice rich flavor and soft chicken.
Just know that they don’t do the buffet in the weekend.

An absolute hidden gem. Clean and quiet place that should be packed. I had a lamb curry – tender, melt in the mouth delicious lamb. And the dal (lentils) was also excellent. Flavors were nuanced and delicious. Thank you. What a delight to find this place on a flight diversion.
