This is the only Indian restaurant in the Wilmington area that knows how to cook okra correctly! I recently relocated here from New York City and I was ready to give up on Delaware Indian restaurants until we tried India Grille! Absolutely delicious and perfect spice level. I am so confused by some of these low Google reviews because this place is amazing. I guess some people just don’t know good food ♀️

I’ve been watching this places is stars go down, but I always loved it, yeah sometimes their chicken is a little tough but a good flavor at a good price. Though I have to say the prices are going up quickly. Unfortunately the other day I got food and half my naan wasnt there, and the sauces for my samosa werent either. 🙁 four stars till proven otherwise I guess, probably won’t go back for a bit though.

My Dad, Brother, and I came here on an evening in late May for some authentic indian cuisine. The dining area was very clean and the music was friendly. The server was very attentive and kind. I ordered the chana masala, my dad ordered chicken tikka, and my brother ordered chicken fingers. All delivered promptly, and all delicious! Only complaints are that my salad had a small piece of plastic in it and my spoon was a bit dirty. We enjoyed the spice level of the food and thought it was true to what we asked for. Would come again for the lunch buffet!

India Grille was one of my favorite buffets for a number of years. I have not been in quite a while, and I was surprised by how much the buffet is now. I should have known something was different when my husband and I noticed only three other people in the restaurant. We would normally find many more diners around the time of day we went.
The food was good, although I was disappointed to not find a few favorite options they used to have, especially for the $17.99 they charge. On a positive note, the staff is still as friendly as I remembered from the past and they have done a good job trying to maintain the upkeep and cleanliness of the restaurant.

I love a good Indian buffet and have been waiting for one to reopen. I was quite impressed when I found India Grille. This was our first time here. The staff was friendly with a very clean and welcoming dining room. The condiment table was well stocked and organized with my favorites. The starters were warm and crispy. But then, I went to the main entrees. I was very disappointed. The basmati rice was very mushy, overcooked and lacked flavor. The tandoori chicken was on the dry side. There was a shrimp entree but there was no shrimp to be found, just a lot of sauce. Same for the other entrees. A lot of sauce with very little protein. There was one vegetable dish with plenty of veggies but lacked flavor. The biryani dish was good but I did pay for a buffet for just biryani. For the $17.99, it was not a value.

The food was tasty. We ordered 4 items: vegetable soup, chicken tikka masala, chicken vindaloo, and garlic nann(those were finished before I could take a picture). I called and placed the order over the phone and was told 20 minutes. I waited an hour given the other reviews saying it takes way longer than the given estimated time. FWIW I think waiting the hour was the right decision as the food was hot when I got there, so it was likely just finished.
For the price, you do not get a whole lot of value. The entrees were small and most of it was sauce in the container.
I did takeout this time. While there, I noticed an advertisement for a lunch Buffet for $12.99 11:30am-2:30pm everyday. Not sure if the price is accurate given some other reviewers shared it now costs $17.99. The cashier said it was still $12.99 when asked.
Tip: if you order take over $30, there’s a coupon on their webpage for 20%.

Food is ok. We ordered Veg Biriyani, Grill Fish for dine-in. They took more than 1/2 hour to prepare and bring the food even though there were only 2 tables occupied with people. This was really frustrating.
Table service was good. Immediately served the water and also the papad 1 for each person. The Vegetable Biriyani was so oily. The Grill Fish was ok. Only 1 person was there to serve.
They took so long to give the receipt also for payment. Credit card payments are accepted.
Restroom for men & women is available and maintained clean.
