The food was delicious. Owner’s are nice and cordial. Talked with them a bit. Ordering was a breeze. The food arrived quickly too. I had a smash burger and iced hazelnut cortado coffee and my wife had the kale salad with salmon with a cinnamon con panna coffee. Took home the mascot Brüster. Ill put him on the Christmas this year. Great little place to eat.

We stumbled into Bru on a golden morning, the kind that makes coffee steam look poetic. It’s the kind of place where locals linger over breakfast — not because they’re in a hurry, but because the light is too good to leave.
I ordered the Sammy, and let me tell you, it was out of this world. The kind of sandwich that doesn’t just fill you up, it makes you rethink what breakfast can be. Linda tried the avocado toast with chili crunch — a clever twist on a classic, with just enough kick to wake up the senses.
The whole vibe was effortless: sunlight pouring through the windows, conversations humming, espresso machines singing their morning song. It’s easy to see why Bru isn’t just a stop — it’s a start to the day.
☕ Verdict: Great food, great light, great locals. What more could you want?

Adam Authier was amazing, from the moment we came in he was attentive and unimposing. He made us feel welcomed. We ordered and the food was divine, the atmosphere inviting and the owner well mannared. We were grateful we found this restaurant because we were celebrating our daughter’s birthday. The chef did a great job. I loved my salmon, very artistic plate, deliciously arranged and cooked to perfection. We would come back next time we visit Ashville NC. Great place!

Breakfast here was great. Coffee was good as well. Huevos Rancheros were fabulous. Just a short walk from many downtown hotels. They have a breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus with several desserts. Tons of hot and cold coffee choices.

Finally! A place is an incredible breakfast sandwich. I find that Asheville has a lot of great (nicer) sit-down brunch places or coffee shops that only serve pastries, but few options in between. Bru is the perfect mix of a cozy sit down yet casual atmosphere where you order at the counter. Their GF bread is also reallyyy good and the breakfast sandwich was so hearty. I’m also obsessed with the shaken espresso. Highly recommend!!

Stopped in at BRU for coffee during a weekend trip to Asheville. Ended up also ordering the avacado toast. O.M.G. It was the most delicious avacado toast we’ve ever had! We were back the next day for more, also ordered the breakfast sandwhich and the pastrami tacos. HOLEY MOLEY DELICIOUS!!!!! Like a party in your mouth!!! Can’t wait to come back the next time we are in town!

Great coffee bar and really good food. We had a couple craft coffees and the avocado toast with chili crisp. Recommend this place. This will be one of our regular stops when we come to Asheville.

My wife and I stopped at BRU for coffee. My pistachio latte was excellent, but the hazelnut white chocolate latte my wife got was one of the best flavored coffees either of us have ever had. The homemade syrups are not overly sweet, and the base coffee is fantastic. Highly recommend.
