We had a great dinner at Mamma Mia in Holly Springs. The nightly specials were excellent, especially the Salmon Piccata and Lobster Ravioli. Both plates were so good we finished them completely, earning us a fun “Clean Plate Award” certificate plus a free cannoli. Warm atmosphere, tasty food, and friendly staff.

We’ve been here several times lately, the food is outstanding! The atmosphere is so cozy it’s like eating at your home. The service is top notch and for birthdays- they nearly have their own little orchestra to play as they sing to the honoree. We’ve tried multiple dishes and they are all great. You might have to wait a little longer for your food because everything including the pasta is made fresh, but it’s so worth the wait. Don’t miss out on their bread also, it’s so good.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. We visited on a Wednesday evening. We were asked when greeted if we were celebrating anything and we shared we were celebrating our sons graduation. Drinks were brought promptly after order. Delicious bread with garlicky olive oil was also brought with our drinks. We waited a few minutes for our appetizers and then our main dinner orders were taken. I appreciated that vegetarian and gluten free options were clearly marked on the menu. I had the caprese salad and my sons enjoyed the garlic knots. I had gluten free pasta with Alfredo sauce and shrimp. It was delicious! One son had the eggplant parmesan and my other son and husband shared a cheese pizza. The pizza was great! Thin crispy crust, generous marinara, and cheese. They came and sang to my son inserting graduation instead of birthday and brought him a cannoli. We had limmocello cake, NY cheesecake and spummona gelato. Everything was delicious. I also cannot say enough about the service. All of the staff was friendly, helpful and willing to crack a joke. Highly recommend for a superb dining experience. There is a public parking lot across the side street.

We had a group of 8 friends meet for a last minute dinner. Everything about our trip to Mama Mia’s was amazing. They were fully engaged in everyone’s experience. Food was great, service was spot on and the crew was charismatic keeping us laughing. Definitely recommend!

We were in town for a soccer tournament, and our large group came in for dinner, and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. The service was friendly, fast, fun and organized — they made sure everyone was well taken care of. The food was authentic and tasted amazing. I had their chicken marsala which was superb. It’s not easy to impress a big group, but they absolutely nailed it. Highly recommend for both small dinners and group gatherings! Thank you Mamma Mia’s for a wonderful dining experience.

The atmosphere and service of this location were EXCELLENT for us! Our waitress was a delight and very attentive. She was so kind to our kids and taught them a couple words in Italian. There were two birthdays and a whole wedding party there too, and I have to say the Mamma Mia birthday song is the best.
We ordered Garlic Knots, Bianca pizza, and Sicilian pizza. The Knots were pretty yummy and VERY garlic. The pizzas were ok; the Bianca could have used more flavor somehow, and the Sicilian was very dense but it had a good sauce.
I would probably have given this only a 3-star if it hadn’t been for our waitress, who totally made the evening worth the extra star.

It was nice to not have a wait on a Friday night and our server was a charming Italian guy. But the food was just bland. The bread was room temp and chewy, served with sweetened vegetable oil to dip. No olive oil? The cheese pizza was perfectly baked, but the cheese and sauce flavorless. My mussels and pasta tasted like canned tomato sauce. The large chunks of garlic had zero garlic flavor- canned maybe? The pasta was perfectly cooked however. The presentation of food dishes around me were odd. The manicotti was served in a boat that did not fit into the flared plate it was on, so it was hovering and wobbling. Ambiance was bland too. I think the prices would be fair if the flavors were actually italian and ingredients higher quality. I assume many folks in this region prefer the blandness, so maybe it works for some. I’ll stick to the more crowded spots not named Smash Burger.

Great find. Felt welcome the minute we walked in. Our server was super friendly and knowledgeable. Wish I could remember his name. Started with the fried cheese cooked perfectly. The bread you get could be a meal by itself, so save room for your meal. Ordered a 16-inch pizza. Two pieces were enough. But it was so good ate 3. Also had a pasta with pink sauce and added sauté mushrooms. Was enough for two or three
meals. Was cooked perfectly. If you’re feeling brave, order the 28-inch pizza. The atmosphere is a reflection of Italy. Will definitely return.

The people and service is amazing. Robert our server is excellent. For you first timers you need to get a glass of the home made wine by the owner. The food is ok, needs more flavor. It’s a nice place if are looking for a quick bite or family for pizza. If this place ups it’s flavor profile, it consistently be a 5, but for now a solid 3.
