We had a late lunch at La Choza Del Gordo yesterday. We were seated immediately. The atmosphere was vibrant, and the staff was friendly and attentive. We had to wait a little while after we placed our food order, but it was all worth it because the dishes were delicious and very satisfying. I would love to come back and try their cocktails.

This place is very well decorated, bring the vibes of what Colombia would be like. The service was Terrible, the waitress forgot about our appetizers , brought them out with the entrees. The Food was ok but appetizers were better, the Music choices were great but way too loud. Asked for a drink and was told that it wasn’t available cause it was not frozen so I asked for a Soda and it was Flat, I asked for a replacement and it was never brought out. The waitress was nice but only came to take our food order and to bring us the check never came to check if we needed something or if the food was ok. This place provides Great vibes and good music but our waitress was terrible maybe she was new. This place would be better if it was a nightclub.

I’ve visited this restaurant for the first time and I must say, the food was absolutely delicious! The waitress brought the food quickly and was very friendly. There wasn’t any wait times when I went and it was a Saturday, which was surprising!
The only thing that I can say I was disappointed with is when I ordered a drink, I didn’t see the price for it and it turned out to be $40. Yes, it was very good! But had I known what the price of it was before hand, I would’ve definitely made a different choice. That was the first time in my life that I ever paid $40 for one drink. Lol
Last thing I must say is, the table where I sat was a bit tight and the seat was hard wood, so it made it a little uncomfortable. But when you factor in the price of the food and the taste it is well worth it! Great music and environment. Out of a 1-10, I will give this place a 9. Take away only one point for the hard wood seat and $40 drink. I would encourage others to visit there. You cannot go wrong!

La Casa del Gordo is cozy, welcoming, and full of good vibes. The food is delicious, the staff is genuinely friendly, and the whole place has a warm, home-style feel. The ambiance is great, and the sound/music setup makes the experience even better. A perfect spot to relax, enjoy great flavors, and feel right at home. I’ll definitely be back!

My favorite place to go to especially after work on Friday. Something about Colombian food it just touches your soul. I come here and leave satisfied every time. Drinks are pretty good (I have a high tolerance) and the food is what I mainly come for. If I could I would eat here all week and give up cooking.

I’ve had to update my review of this restaurant since my last visit. I’ve been back a few times since then, but unfortunately, the quality of the food has declined significantly.
The steak, which I used to love, is now extremely chewy. The chicken, which was once flavorful, now tastes old and dry. Even the frozen drinks have become watery and disappointing.
To add to the frustration, the service has also taken a hit. It takes forever to place an order and receive your food. The servers are incredibly slow, and it’s a real pain to wait.
I no longer recommend this place to friends and family. If you’re looking for a great dining experience, you’ll be better off going somewhere else.
On the positive side, the food from this Spanish restaurant was excellent when I first visited. I tried the chaufa rice with chicken and steak, and it was delicious. The chicken and steak were well-seasoned and had a lot of flavor. The rice was also good, and the frozen piña colada drink was refreshing and delicious.
The service was also wonderful, making it a great spot for a chill night out with friends. I’ll still recommend this place to people who are hungry and looking for a quick bite, but I won’t be going back anytime soon.
