We stopped by Freddy’s for the first time while passing through. I have to say, the drive-through host had an impressively professional voice—he honestly sounded like he could do voiceovers for commercials (just had to mention that!). As for the food, it was just okay—nothing particularly memorable. The burger and fries portions felt pretty small considering the price. The overall vibe reminded me a bit of Steak ’n Shake, but their burgers are bigger and more affordable. We’ll probably skip Freddy’s in the future.

Possibly the worst service experience I’ve ever had. I come in, order a single meal, and it’s like the incompetent high schoolers behind the counter just discarded the ticket instantly. I sit and wait for 25 minutes for this single meal before asking about its status, to which I’m received with this issue like I’m these kids’ best friends, no apology or explanation what might’ve happened, they discuss it in front of me pointing at me saying “This guy didn’t get his food!” like it was somehow the fault of anyone else but them. What was supposed to be a 5 minute stop off the highway turned out to be over half an hour for a single meal, AND for the cherry on top, the manager offers me a free combo meal for the inconvenience with a similar tone of indifference, which of course is only valid at their location, so I’m obligated to experience this awful service sometime again in the future. I get that people make mistakes and these inept employees were only trying to do their job, but it was a massive inconvenience that was received with such unconcern from everyone involved, that I will surely never return to the Gainesville, TX Freddy’s and I recommend no one else makes the same mistake, there’s lots of other great, fast, respectful places in Gainesville to go.

Maybe they’re having an off day but this Freddy’s is disgusting today. No clean tables, trash everywhere, and then they’re out of curds and Dr. Pepper. Probably good I skipped those anyhow. Overall, very disappointed.

Both the jalapeño pepper jack burger and grilled chicken club were very good, cooked to perfection. The small fries were tasty too. Sauces were a little funky however I found the jalapeño sauce to be the best.. the vanilla malt was okay.. I think Braum’s deliver better tasting malts. This is my first time here so I enjoyed it.

I had always wanted to try Freddy’s. It was just ok for me, neither bad nor good. I wouldn’t go there specifically, but I’d eat there if it was on the way and convenient, if that makes sense. I enjoyed the decor and pictures more than the food. It did seem to be very family-friendly. I saw multiple families with small children come in while my husband and I were there. It is quite small inside, though, and got crowded quickly at typical dinner hours.

Services was great, very friendly staff. I got the bacon double, comes with mustard onions and pickles with 2 smashed patties, very good!
Fries were very salty but I love the skinny style. Onion rings could have been cooked a bit more for extra crunch but those were great too. Overall I’d recommend, way better than your normal fast food burgers.

My drink tasted like chemicals. Hamburger and fries had the same taste. I’m not sure if the drink made the food taste bad but, I didn’t finish any of it. I’ve eaten here before with no issue but, this time was not good at all.

I love Freddy’s but this location is awful! The dining area was filthy, trash cans were overflowing, all of the sodas were mostly water. So many people had dumped out their drinks that weren’t mixed correctly that the ice was overflowing and falling on the floor from the drain area. We had a burger and chicken sandwich and they were ok. I ordered a custard to go and ended up just throwing it away because it was totally melted and tasted bad. You couldn’t tell when they handed it to you because of all the whipped cream on top. $7 down the drain because I was already back on the road and didn’t want to return. This location needs some serious attention!!!

First time here…and the Burgers were as Advertised!!!! Thank you for setting up this one off I35…..passing thru….Freddy, you have a friend in me! My wife and I stopped by to give this a try over Whataburger, up the road, and we were very very satisfied. The homemade steak burger was awesome and now I have a new #1 burger stop! Sorry, to all my other interests, , but I have a new place. I had the Freddy Double meat special with cheese and grilled onions with string fries and my wife had the single pattie with cheese. I HIGHLY recommend this franchise!!!!!! Please bring one to Ellis County! Please! The diner was clean and fresh, the menu board was easy to figure out what they have and a separate counter to order their famous custards. Which I will try on my next visit.

While we usually love Freddy’s this will be a stop we don’t make again. We came in at 3pm without a single person in the store. We just ordered ice cream and it took over 10 minutes for them to scoop our treat after I had to ask how long is this by king to take. There seemed to be zero rush on their end to help us. Then when I got my ice cream I was extremely disappointed, it was pretty much a 1/2 scoop of custard. It didn’t even fill the container. Worst $20 I’ve spent in a long time. We should have stuck with Braums (cheaper, faster, and more ice cream).
