Great food, very reasonable pricing!
If you’re at Kutztown visiting your kid, check out the Kutztown Tavern! It’s pretty spacious inside, the staff was friendly, and the food was good. I enjoyed the Belly Buster Fish Sandwich, and the club sandwich and brisket sandwich and pulled pork sandwich looked great, too. The next table over had wings-they looked yummy.
I can’t wait to go back, see my kid, and then spoil him with some great food!

Went here with a few friends, I loved the dining atmosphere. It was warm and inviting and the adult beverages were amazing. The service was also great, the food and drinks came out fast. I will be coming back for sure!

We visited Kutztown to spend the day with our son in college and decided to take him and his roommate to the Kutztown Tavern. The food was pretty good this time—I’ve found it to be hit or miss in the past, but I really enjoyed my steak sandwich. It was nicely done, and the boys loved their Mozzarella Sticks.
Unfortunately, the service left something to be desired. Our waitress, whose initials on the bill were KS, didn’t come across as very friendly. It felt as though she was used to dealing with college students rather than adults, or perhaps she simply didn’t enjoy her job. Either way, her tone wasn’t welcoming, and at one point, she even snapped at my husband when he was just trying to save her an extra trip to our table.
It was late afternoon, and the restaurant wasn’t very busy, so I’m not sure what was going on—maybe she was just having an off day.

Met a friend here for drinks and dinner and had a very nice experience! The restaurant is very clean and well-lit, it’s well-maintained and offers a nice selection of craft beers and food. The food we ordered was freshly made, hot, and well seasoned . Being nestled in the middle of PA Dutch country, I felt the food leaned on the heavy side in terms of composition and could benefit from some more acid and vegetables for brightness. It was a little loud when the restaurant was packed, and you know that’s not an environment I prefer, but the servers were attentive and pleasant, and the overall vibe of the place was friendly. Worth checking out!

Went here during for dinner on a busy Saturday during Kutztown University Parent Weekend. There was a short wait (expected) but were met with smiles from staff. Great brew pub atmosphere and food did not disappoint. Wait staff was very friendly. Food had lots of flavor and looking forward to going back again.

It was our first time here. We happened to come to visit our friends in town, and this is where our friends took us to. We heard burgers are very good here.
Instead of trying their burgers since I had burger and fries on the previous day, I opted for a meatloaf entree with baked potato as the side. I was not disappointed. My meatloaf itself was quite decent (alas not the best I had in terms of flavoring), and it came with a very generous serving of steamed broccoli that was very tasty.
Around our table, Cowboy Burger looked delicious and tasted very good per my friend. Mediterranean Salad had a split vote, the down side was unusually hard broccoli. Perhaps it needed to be blanched before serving. Another one was the lack of feta cheese as a substitute for blue cheese (since we were informed they had all kinds of cheeses initially). The spinach was nice and fresh, but tomatoes and nuts were proportionately small.
Our server was very pleasant, attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was very good in this place.
Overall, it was a very good dining experience with friends. I’ll be back if I ever come back to Kutztown.

We were visiting the area and was referred to this place by another guest at our BnB. We arrived and were a bit confused about seating but the after passing the bar area there was a hostess who seated us in a booth. The dining room was beautiful. A very spacious large seating area and what looked like a large area upstairs. The ambience was very nice. The staff were very friendly and the food great! They are home to the Golden Avalanche Brewery! While my husband got a name brand beer I tasted 2 of their beers and got their blonde. It was crisp and light! My husband got the shepherd’s pie and enjoyed it very much, it came with a salad, the greens were crisp and fresh and a variety not just iceberg. I enjoyed a rather large fish sandwich!! It wasn’t all batter the fish was a nice thick piece. It was deep fried and cooked just right! The flavor was light and delicious! I would recommend this place to everyone! The prices were reasonable for the portions and the service was awesome!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but the behavior of the owner tonight,1/2/26, was shocking. Instead of addressing our concerns with professional courtesy, they were incredibly rude and confrontational. It’s a shame because the [food/atmosphere] has potential, but no meal is worth being mistreated. I highly recommend going elsewhere where your business is actually appreciated. Darren, the owner/waiter, he was arrogant & rude. We cancel part of the food and he still made us pay the full bill because he said “I already placed the order”
