Lava Java is one of the best coffee shops I visited in a long time. The exterior has the beach vibe and perfect colors and looks cute. There are lot of seating options available outside and lot of customers enjoying the sunshine on a November day, a delight to watch. As you enter, you see this beautiful decor and a well-maintained cafe. The first section has some tables and then as you enter the main cafe area. The staff friendly welcomes and assist you with your order.
The staff has that vibe which makes you feel come back to the cafe every day of your stay. We ordered coffee and croissant.
The crossaint was delicious and melted in the mouth. Highly recommended place while you visit the Ortley or Seaside beaches.

This was an excellent place to come for breakfast and a really good coffee! They have a tremendous amount of flavors to add to the coffees and we had the avocado toast, egg platter and a pork roll sandwich and all were excellent with a lot of food! The dogs also had fun saying hi to everybody who came to pet them on the patio?

Every coffee option under the sun. We tried the Lava Java (mocha) and sea salt caramel. While delicious, a bit too sweet for our tastes, but next time we’ll go a little more traditional to really taste the coffee. A very cute place with friendly service given how busy they are.

This coffee place is hands down the best on the island. The staff is incredible, always greeting you with a friendly smile, which makes every visit enjoyable.
The coffee here just hits the spot. My go-to is the mocha latte, and it never disappoints. I also love the new logoed cups—such a nice touch! Thank you for being the best and for consistently making our mornings brighter! Highly recommend this gem for your daily caffeine fix!

Came with a large group of friends during a weekend trip. Super large coffees, a bunch of flavors and amazing service. Such a fun shop and vibe. Food itself was nothing crazy but I was not disappointed. Ask for extra pumps or cold foam if you like your coffee sweet- my cookie butter iced coffee was fairly subtle but yum! Will come back to try the latte and baked goods.

The crumb cake had me WEAK IN THE KNEES! I am genuinely a changed woman after eating this, I cannot recommend it enough. Crumb to cake ratio is just perfection. The staff is also amazing!

Awesome! Amazing! Inclusive! We’ve been wanting to experience this coffee shop the past couple summers but by the time we get all the ducklings out of the house at the beach, they are closed. Finally made it this time!
Enjoyed a very delicious iced dirty chai latte! Music was bumpin. Employees were happy and dancing, which you can always taste in a beverage/meal. Happy cooks make yummy meals. Stop by and get happy!
