The lamb curry was flavorless (besides the lamb pieces) and very watery. I scooped some atop my rice and noticed the clear color of it right away on my plate. There were also some fruit flies buzzing about within the restaurant.
I sadly would not be one to recommend this restaurant. Though the entry desk area is very nicely decorated.
The price is too high and the quantity and quality of the food is the worst. On top of it we paid gratitude of 18+ for 4 people. It’s a utter nonsense.
The quality of food is all sourness. Briyani and curries are all having sour taste. Roti and Naan are not even 1/2 of the roti and naan i get in other places. We ordered 2 entree curries, we should get 2 rice as a complementary, they denied it. The quantity of briyani is equal to kids meal.
When we asked to split the bill, she made a mistake when we asked her to fix it .. she was making us wait for 10 minutes without attending and she is trying to put the blame on the service people. Honestly the service people are too kind and respectful and we did see the service people communicating with the owner about this issue and the owner is doing it on purpose.
*Please dont go here and waste your money. In my whole life time I never had such a bad experience.*
— a generous plate filled with flavorful lamb curry, two pakoras, naan, rice, and kheer. Everything was well-seasoned and delicious.
I also recently tried their lunch buffet, and it was fantastic. The setup is well-organized, with the right side featuring vegetarian options and the left side offering meat dishes. The samosas were crisp and flavorful, and I appreciated the fresh salad bar. Their Indian tea was also a highlight—perfectly spiced and, thankfully, not sweetened like in many other places.
Overall, the food here is consistently delicious, well-priced, and authentic. Highly recommend for anyone craving quality Indian cuisine!
I ordered medium heat, which was a perfect kick if you like some heat. (Apparently, the episode in Ted Lasso where he tried food that was crazy hot, scared my friends into ordering mild. All of them said they would order medium next time.)
Taj Mahal is a tasty lager that paired well with the meal and flavors.
As a group, we ordered multiple appetizers to help explore more flavors. The mint and tamarind sauces were great. Garlic Naan (toasted pita bread) and Beef Samosa were favorites. I also enjoyed a fresh salad with lettuce, cucumber, radish, and tomato.
I definitely want to come back and try out more!
