I came in after 10am, and found the dining room empty ⭐ It was peaceful and clean, the employees were pleasant and the food was fresh. The fries especially were hot and delicious
I’d come here to chill again!

2 large size meals. One of them a bacon king and one a royal spicy chicken. Nearly $32 after tax. Sure, we can feign outrage and blame it on California’s $20/hr fast food minimum wage, but if you do some basic math and assume it took 2 people 5 minutes each to prepare the meals, that’s 10 minutes worth of wages at an approximate $4/hr increase. Being generous, let’s round that $0.67 extra cost up to a dollar. So, can someone explain to me how an order that would’ve cost about $18-$20 before the wage increase went up almost $12-$14? Maybe it was Kobe beef? Yeah, probably not. Don’t even get me started on the joke that they consider to be a large order of fries. I might sound mad, but I’m actually glad, because maybe young people like my nephew, will stop clogging their arteries with this garbage. To be fair, the young woman working the window was very pleasant, and the order was prepared quickly. But the prices are just absurd. How long before the billionaire class channels the ghost of Marie Antoinette and utters a flippant, “let them eat cake!”?

Ordered 2 orders of onion rings and the workers on purpose gave us mostly fries with just a few onion rings on top. The workers make 20.00 hour and cant even get your order right. The straight committed fraud and basically stole money from my order by not giving me onion rings.

Plus it took them forever to get my order to me.

Ridiculous

This is not the first time this particular associate has been rude to me. I am not saying i am being targeted, but i think she needs to get trained on how to handle diversity and also how to show respect, especially when it is earned.

I would have to yell through the speaker system for her to get my order right, and when I try to correct her about taking the wrong order, she does not apologies, instead she searingly responds to me like she is clapping my order back at my face, or just shutting me down. Again, not once, but twice. The first time i thought it was a mistake and she may had been a fast talker, but today was evident she lacks home training, and needs to go back home for some before stepping out into the world to serve others.

After paying for my order, i paid cash, she took the money, and did not give me a receipt. As i got my food, she was asking if that was all, I had not finished my Yes response when I raised my head up to respond and saw she was almost completely shutting the window. I yelled to get her attention, not in any rude way, but just loud enough to get her attention. she did not respond. Instead she stood there, used sanitizer on her hands while using her peripheral eyes to see if I had gone or not, and then she turned and walked away. I even used an empty cup to brush the window to get hers or someone else’s attention, but no one responded to see what i wanted/needed even though they can see that someone was there. I waited there at the window for another 5 to 7 minutes before another car pulled up behind me. I knew they were bound to come out, so i waited why she busied herself chatting with someone else non-clamantly as she filled the order for the next guest.

Once she was done, she opened the window and i told her “respect is reciprocal”. I doubled down with ‘”you cannot treat people bad and not expect them not to treat you in the same likeness.” I told her how i was trying to get her attention, and how she intentionally ignored me, she straight up went defensive, and told me i should have gone back around the drive through to get her attention. No apologies, just straight up told me i was holding up her line (Infact, this was her very first statement to me). Why should have i to do that when it is the law that a receipt is to be given to a customer after every purchase, and even though she did not give me, I tried to get her attention, not only did she ignore me, she was rude about it, and defensive. Infact, her attitude was like daring me to make a report if i wanted to.

I have seen countless of associates at that window, some English, and others non-English speaking. All except for one in the past (and this one today) have treated me like trash. Both feeling like they don’t care about the job, but cared enough to apply for it, and deprive someone who really knows what it takes to serve people the opportunity. I am glad there is a camera there, and I am glad I remained myself as i did not want this to become a social media backlash. After all said and done, she yanked the receipt off of the printer with a piece of it torn off, and kept ushering me off of her window.

But burger king on 1475 Holiday Lane, Fairfield, CA 94534, YOU REALLY NEED TO TRAIN YOUR STAFF, especially the one for today. Also, if you have not done so before, let her know that drive throughs were made for not only busy people who would love on the go meal, but also people who may have kids in the car with them, so asking me to go around into a drive though that may or may not have 5 cars already was the dumbest idea she could have offered anyone during any situation like today. All she had to do was just give me my receipt, or at most responded to me, and I would have been on my way.

Finally, she needs to be trained (since she lacks commons sense and home training) that even if i was wrong to ask for the receipt, I never disrespected her. Where respect is given, one is expected back.

Tl;dr you’ll get your food but you’ll have to ask for basically everything else (bathroom, napkins, batteries in the chirping smoke detector).

Burger King is typically my roadtrip go-to so experiencing friction alongside other travelers wasn’t what I had in mind for today.

The bathroom was for customers only, which is to be expected, but the sign on the bathroom door and counter need to not only match but be clarified. Yes, the bathroom is for customers only but after ordering, you will need to request an employee buzz you in. According to someone else, a man stood there for ten minutes waiting to be let in.

There was one employee running both the drive-thru and front counter at 1 PM on a Saturday. She was apologetic but from a management standpoint, that shouldn’t happen to begin with.

The self-service area was empty so forget napkins, ketchup, and the Freestyle Coke machine.

There were carts and bags of non-BK trash next to the dumpster so one can only assume that these changes are likely a result of homeless individuals being in or around the restaurant.

Last few times I’ve gone there some element of my order has been wrong each time. Today however I was the only customer through the drive-thru from the time I said my small order to the window was probably five or six seconds and my entire order was wrong again. They repeated it to me at the window correctly but the receipt they created had the wrong order.

Staff took an extremely long time to take order when the place was EMPTY. We were patiently waiting but needed to use the restroom, the doors weren’t opening. When the staff did finally acknowledged we were there, she told us the doors weren’t locked, had to be extremely aggressive to open the bathroom door. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen as someone could get seriously hurt with how bad those doors are.
