My wife and I visited for the first time the other day and got to try the Pandan Waffle, and the Happy Mixed.
Perfect stop for a non-boba dessert after Hmart. We weren’t sure what to expect after enjoying Bambu at this location but it didn’t disappoint. There’s not many locations that do Vietnamese desserts here in NC. We got to talk to the owner and he emphasized his commitment to details and freshness of the fruit as well as making the toppings in store based off training he had from a friend running a store in Vietnam.
The pandan waffle was cooked by the owner himself and had a nice chew similar to a soft mochi with some crisp like a waffle. We ate that one hot. It’s got a subtle sweetness but otherwise nothing bad or standout about it but hits the spot.
The Happy Mixed we had with a substitution of white jelly instead of red tapioca (chestnuts bits wrapped w/ tapioca). But my favorite topping was actually unlisted- pandan tapioca. I usually get this drink for the mix of textures but the pandan tapioca is what they call QQ in Chinese. Chewy… bouncy. But it was nice and well balanced, not overly sweet. It does contain coconut milk so don’t get it if you’re not into that.
We also got to try the Soursop Tea because Mike decided to give it to us to try as we left! It is NOT sour but mildly sweet and had fresh fruit in it! It was our first time trying the tea and would recommend for those that like a slight sweetness with a bit of citrusy note at the end. It was finished very quickly so it’s super easy/smooth to drink, I would probably put some type of jelly into it if I got it next time. Shout out to Mike! Super friendly, and easy to talk with.
I’ll need to come back to try the Mango Bango and maybe some Kumquat dessert. Looking forward to it!

Drinks were very good and clearly made with care; they were so pretty! Only complaint was the tapioca pearl boba, as it was flavorless. We came late in the day, so I am not sure if that was the reason. I’m used to it being cooked in brown sugar syrup so it’d be sweet. Definitely liked the lychee jelly better!

I walked in on a whim just wanting to see what they were about. The incredible smell (which I learned was them making pandan) sealed the deal that I was going to try something. Super kind and knowledgeable staff, fresh and real ingredients, adorable shop. Tried the coco matcha drink and it was not too sweet and absolutely delicious post workout. Can’t wait to come back with the fam!

My desserts is my favorite spot to come for vietnamese coffee, especially their vietnamese white coffee! I love sweet coffee so this was perfect and i feel like you get a decent amount for $6. I came today and there was no wait and we got our drink within a few minutes.

The board outside is so cute so I had to come inside. There’s a great variety and the inside of the shop is quaint and inviting. The new coconut kumquat drink is honestly so good, it reminded of a lemonade but even better for the hot sunny days of NC.

Love My Desserts! We stop by almost weekly to grab a banh bao, snacks, and/or the salted foam coffee (which is the best I’ve had thus far in any shop)! In addition to the coffee, we love their teas—all are made with fresh ingredients. The peach tea is our favorite.
All of the staff is kind and the owner always asks for our feedback to make sure we enjoy our drinks. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking good drinks to have!

Solid place for great desserts, especially on a hot day. Halo-halo was super awesome, just missing the leche flan, but I am okay to go without it because of that yummy taro at the bottom. Smashed avocado has always been a favorite of ours and now I’m so glad we’ve found it here in Cary. This place definitely pays attention to detail, from the choice of packaging, interior design and elegance. Definitely will be our staple from now on!
