Everything we ordered was great — my wife’s Reuben with curly fries was hot, fresh, and loaded with flavor. I had the three-meat BBQ plate (brisket, ribs, and German sausage) with German potato salad, and it was all delicious — especially the sausage! Their homemade BBQ sauce ties everything together perfectly.
My mom’s chicken fried steak was excellent, and the onion rings were next-level good. The staff were super friendly and attentive, and the whole experience just felt relaxed and welcoming.
Definitely a spot we’d come back to if we’re in the area again!
Food was good but not the best I’ve had. Their menu has lots of choices so you will be sure to find something you would like.
I wanted pizza so I ordered the Dieter Pizza (Supreme) with no mushrooms. My husband ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken with fries and salad. We also ordered an appetizer of cheese sticks.
Cheese sticks were okay, but their ranch was really good! The pizza looked so yummy but there was an odd taste that I couldn’t put my finger on.
My husband loved his chicken fried chicken but the fries had a sour taste to me. I can’t explain it. My husband thought they tasted fine. We both ordered sweet teas and they were really good!
The service was wonderful! Each person that checked on us was great, cheerful and really nice. The atmosphere was nice and clean!
We arrived at 8:30 p.m., just a half hour before closing, and not once did we feel rushed. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, offering great recommendations without ever hovering or pushing. The refills came easy, the vibe was relaxed, and the food? Absolutely delicious.
The portions were massive (seriously, come hungry or plan for leftovers), the prices were super reasonable, and they accept both card and cash. They even stayed open a little late for us, which felt like the kind of small-town courtesy you rarely experience anymore.
If you’re looking for a place that’s big on flavor, heart, and hospitality—this is it. Don’t miss it.
else’s was amazing! I ordered a 2 meat plate and the German sausage I got, I know for a fact because I cook barbecue was at least a day and a half old or at least a day. The Waitress was very spot on once we got our food and the company we told ger we were having with us. After that, we never saw her again until she handed us our check. Drinks were left untouched, tried to flag down help from ANY waitress were ignored by myself and my husband. And yes, I will give Lindsay, this one, It was Sunday around 11 right around when church let out so I know they were busy, but ive seen busier, but our waitress was handling the bar. I have
Never out of the 33 years that I have been eating at this restaurant had such terrible food and service for myself alone. We had a $3 upcharge that no one could explain on our register receipt. By what the register rang up compared to what are paper we signed showed did not make sense and no one bothered to explain it to us, but the young lady that was ringing us up stepped away and the manager stepped in and still no explaining. I told my husband that I doubt I will be coming back here due to the quality of food quality, of service, and quality of kindness. It basically showed me if you’re not from Lindsey, You’re NOT taken care of and that has been something that has been standing for years at this place. I’m so sorry to see it being going that downhill. I always loved this place over the next door competition.
