My family and I tried to have Bangkok Thai take out for dinner tonight, the food we I got was a far cry from what they served a couple of months ago, and now I’m throwing away more than half my $65+ order because no one could stomach any more of it. What a waste. Our regular order has always been always Taiwanese Chicken, Khao Poon soup, and chicken egg rolls. The Taiwanese chicken was overcooked, tasted old and wad lacking in sauce, and the sauce it had was nothing like the sour sauce I’ve been enjoying for a long time from there. It tasted like any generic kind of sweet Chinese food sauce from aplace like China1 or Panda Express. The Khao Poom had strips of bamboo that were actually 3-4 inch long rough looking strips, all falling apart like they’ve been cooking away in the broth since they opened today. The pile of them next to my wife’s bowl of soup was substantial. As other recent reviews have mentioned, our eggrolls were also soggy and they tasted like a dirty fryer oil.
My wife and I went here for our 10 year wedding anniversary earlier this year because of how special this place has been to us for a long time. This was our first time having them since the new owners took over and it’s disappointing to say Bangkok Thai has lost what made them special. It’s validating to see the other reviews from people that feel the same. The new owners haven’t been active on social media much, but I’ve seen them defend the restaurant on a few reviews, but it is clear that they’re cutting corners now, or doing something drastically different now. I’ll try them again in a few months, but can’t recommend anyone else do until they’ve fixed this.

This new owners are the worse. My husband went in to order me food cos I was sick and couldn’t cook. When I opened it,I found out it soggy, tried to atleast have something in my system to take my medications but it was terrible. I had to throw out the part I took out to microwave .

Absolutely loved our lunch here!
My wife and I stopped in and were blown away by everything we ordered. I got the green apple milk tea with green apple jellies—10/10, highly recommend it! My wife had the mango smoothie with strawberry jellies, and that was amazing too.
We started with the crab rangoons and chicken eggrolls—honestly, the best we’ve ever had (and we’ve tried a lot over the years)! Super crispy, flavorful, and fresh.
For the main course, I ordered the red curry pad Thai, and wow—I wasn’t expecting that much flavor and deliciousness packed into one dish. My wife got the orange chicken, and it was juicy, sweet, and not spicy at all—just perfect.
To finish the day off we ordered the steamed banana rice cake for dessert and this is way too addicting!
We’ll definitely be back. This spot is a hidden gem!

First time dining at Bangkok Thai and the experience was great overall! We tried the chicken curry pad Thai and sesame chicken. For the milk tea, we ordered Thai coffee and white elephant. *Not pictured: Lao style papaya salad, very tasty. Looking forward to trying more dishes here!

First off, we were met with incredibly kind and welcoming people. Very accommodating and patient as we ordered. We got the Tum Kha and Chicken Eggrolls; both super delicious and fresh. We also ordered two teas with jelly and those far exceeded our expectations. I wish we lived closer because this would absolutely be a go-to for any time we ordered or ate out. We will be back again, for sure!

Pho was the best I’ve had anywhere thus far. Ive never had a good crab ragoon but these were absolutely amazing! Steamed pork buns were nice and soft but lacked flavor but is really good when dipped in the pho! The pad se-ew was absolutely amazing, bouncy chewy noodles, great flavor, i little on the salty side but none the less the best dish i had here! Definitely recommended!

Astronomically disappointing. We have eaten at this restaurant since it opened in early 2000’s. Back then it was wonderful food. So flavorful and nothing like it at the time I Oshkosh. They went through some chef changes and the food waxed and waited but the last number of years it was back to being delicious. Tonight we had our mainstay order. Chicken pad Thai, Chicken pad see ew and we threw in some fried rice and rangoons as an extra. All three dishes were terrible. None had there distinct flavors that these dishes are known for. The pad see ew had no char flavor at all, was extremely dry and was all noodles. Not sure if there was even 3 ounces of chicken in it. Pad Thai, same. No tangy sweet sour at all. All noodle, no flavor. Chicken fried rice looked great but again, no flavor at all. Not even salty, no soy or hoisin or oyster sauce flavor. No sesame flavor.
Just. Plain. Flavorless.
We were so disappointed. $50.00 for bland tasting, careless cooking and even worse a new owner/manager who disregarded my polite complaint with a completely insincere dismissive attitude. I was told, “ well I would do something about it if it is one dish but 3 dishes, I can’t do anything about that.” What? Followed by “well we are new so that might have something to do with it, well, it probably does “. What? Hey, I get it with restaurants. Not every dish is perfect all the time. Chefs move on and things change up here and there. But if you thought so much of this restaurant to buy it and continue the tradition and serve the tasty food that people have come to love and keep coming back for, then do it right. Shame on you. You’ve destroyed it. And I can see from other reviews, we are not alone with our disappointment. You lost us as a customer. Really sad.

New owners! Everything is still delicious, and they’ve added a couple specials that look awesome. Had the peanut creamy noodle w/ tofu, medium spice, and it was perfect. Pad Thai recipe is different, but it’s definitely still a family fave.
