We ordered from Tastey’s via DoorDash on 1/31/21 and it was great! The portions were very generous. The potato salad in particular was amazing but it was all very good. Would definitely recommend!

I enjoyed their veggie plate. The food was perfectly seasoned & hot. I didn’t know how I was going to like collards & cabbage, but to my surprise, it was very tasty. I would love to enjoy them again. Mrs. Gail was very hospitable & accommodating. The pound cake was also very good & had a Caribbean flare to it.

The food was ok. a little bland maybe on purpose. Very nice portions. The pear cobbler was filled too much and it spilled out trying to get it open. The atmosphere of the establishment felt like it was home. I presume it was Ms. Gail who waited on me. She was very pleasant and had me out in minutes. I had never heard of this place and am wondering why? Its been in that neighborhood for 10 years. I will revisit and try the pork chops. I had the meatloaf, collard and cabbage mix, mac n cheese and stuffing along with pear cobbler for dessert. Thanks Ms. Gail for the conversation and introducing me to your restaurant and food.

I wish I had taken photos of our dishes, for that I apologize. My partner and I went to Tasty’s to pick up our order, it was the first visit for both of us. He order the fried chicken with pickled beets and Mac and cheese. I ordered the special which was grilled lamb chops with potato salad and green beans. We also got 2 slices of sweet potato pie.
On the drive home I commented on how delicious everything smelled. Got home, plated our dinner, prayed and dug in. The first thing I noticed was my lamb was over cooked, I requested medium well and this was past well done. The second thing I noticed was the abundance of salt. So much salt that after 3 bites, I couldn’t eat anymore of it. I detest wasting food BUT this had to go in the trash. Thankfully my partner had enough fried chicken to share with me. It was good…crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The pickled beets and potato salad were really good followed by the Mac and cheese. Sweet potato pie was also good.
I called the restaurant to let them k ow because I didn’t want to leave a negative review but I’m not sure they could clearly hear me. I couldn’t clearly hear them so I wonder what the caller experience would have been trying to place an order. Don’t know if I’ll go back but if I did, lamb won’t be on my list.

Tastys used to be good. I have no idea what happened but maybe them high ridiculous prices make the food taste worse! If ima going to spend money like im dining at a restaurant it needs to be consistently good everytime and portionate! It’s regular portions of regular food you cook at home for dine in prices.
It’s simply NOT as good as it used to be anf they do not CARE about customer service or fixing anything!
A meatloaf dinner with two sides and one piece of meatloaf is $30!!! Beef does not cost that much and the restaurant gets it cheaper from the depot so theyre just price gouging…..WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE!! And i tell everyone to go elsewhere!

I had a taste for fish, AND LET ME SAY THIS IS THE MOST DISCUSSING RESTAURANT I’VE BEEN TO! As I’m sitting and waiting for my food a ROACH is on the curtains, I had already paid for my food otherwise I would have left. Two fish sandwiches were $38.00!! The fish tasted horrible ! No hair nets, fish was greasy and old oil, please think twice before buying food here. Not worth my money!
