When I checked the sealed sandwich (because they wanted to pull a fast one – only 1 sandwichwas sealed), I noticed the wrong cheese but decided to let it go. However, once I got home and opened the larger sandwich, I saw it had no cheese or sauce at all. I called to speak with the manager, and Andrés told me I’d have to come back and bring the sandwiches in for him to remake them. That’s ridiculous — he knew they were wrong when he gave them to me in the first place.
For a $25 order, you’d expect it to be right. Andrés was unprofessional, dismissive, and visibly irritated the entire time I was there — sighing, rolling his eyes, and even smirking when he handed me the food. If I hadn’t been rushing to a football game, I would’ve gone back immediately.
This manager clearly doesn’t care about customers or quality. I hope upper management sees this, and I’d strongly recommend avoiding this Subway location as long as Andrés is the “manager”.
My only question for upper management is this: Where was the GM or AM to support this crew member when no one else was available? Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t it protocol that when no one can cover a shift, the GM or AM is supposed to step in — not leave the entire store to a single crew member who isn’t management?
Poor management is the only reason for the three stars. Juan A. himself deserves five stars for his performance and his ability to run the entire store on his own.
