I even had to flag someone from the bar just to get syrup for my pancakes, due the waiter not bringing any for plain pancakes and a table caddy so I could get sugar for my coffee. Guests who arrived after us were treated far better, while we were mostly ignored. They didn’t realize we hadn’t even paid until WE told them. They kept looking at us like “leave” and “why are they still here?” Finally our non existent waiter came and asked were good and WE said we needed to pay. Who seemed to be the owner stood over us while we checked out, as if we were inconveniencing him. The tip was gracious after that terrible service and not deserved. On the bright side, the food was still good.
After great service last Monday with a party of eight, I’m shocked at how different today was. Unfortunately, this will be my last visit to Con Huevos.
Let me add, it wasn’t busy, partially empty. No where near in the AM when they see most their foot traffic on a Saturday.
The food itself was good, but it did not make up for the poor service. If I could give customer service zero stars, I would. Our table was essentially forgotten, parts of our order were missed, and my friend, who is allergic to strawberries, was served a dish containing strawberries after clearly ordering it without them and explaining her allergy.
When I tried to get our server’s attention after he repeatedly passed our table, he cut me off mid-sentence and lectured me in front of other guests. It was humiliating and unnecessary. I used to get excited to eat here, but that experience completely changed my view. Because of this, I have not been back.
