Max is hands down one of the best bartenders around. Every time I’m at On The Rox, he makes the whole experience better — drinks come out fast, the conversation is always on point, and the guy’s got some of the quickest, wittiest comebacks when I’m giving him a hard time (all in good fun, of course).
You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does and makes everyone feel welcome the second they walk in. Whether it’s a busy night or just a chill hangout, Max keeps the energy right and never misses a beat behind the bar.
Great drinks, great laughs, and always a good time. If you stop by, make sure Max is working — you won’t be disappointed.

First time stopping in here. Bartender max was great. He made sure I got a drink right when I walked in a had put my food in for me immediately. Good conversation and definitely will come back if he’s working.

Went there a few weeks ago when the weather was bad. Our friend is leaving for the military and only had a few weekends left, so we braved the weather and tried to make the most of it. Many places were closed or closing early, so we called ahead to make sure they were open. Hailey told us she had a dart tournament going on, but was happy to not only let us in and serve us, but she made us some delicious food. She was so nice and accommodating. Very appreciative of her and the service she provided.

Their bouncer is on a MAJOR power tripppp and is going to end up hurting someone or hurting himself in the process.
My husband and I walked in, “bouncer” was sitting next to a group of people (he genuinely looked like he was there enjoying his evening; not working) Anyway we walked in and he asked for ID as I was walking past him. He was sitting with a group of people; I didn’t even know he was a bouncer and I did not hear him. For all I know he’s some dude just cat calling as I walked past cause what do I look like paying mind to another man? I did not hear him and he didn’t have anything to stand out, wasn’t standing or even facing the door when we walked in. I thought he was there for a drink.. My husband heard him and my husband called me back but this bouncer felt the need to literally scream at me because I didn’t hear him. And to be fair my husband has a salt and pepper beard and I’m a 30 year old woman (We haven’t been asked for ID in a long time so we weren’t expecting it)
Bouncer felt that my husband telling him to calm down because I didn’t hear him as a threat and decided to lay hands on my husband and physically push him out of the bar and start spewing profanity and my husband and I simply because I didn’t hear him ask for ID.
This establishment really needs to reconsider who they have at the door asking for ID because someone else may not have enough sense to react in a calm way the way my husband and I did. The treatment we got at this establishment on a loud Friday night on 2/27/26 when we went at around 11:45PM and the bouncer assaulted my husband.

I love playing darts at on the roxx. However, I miss seeing max on dart tournaments. He is my favorite bartender and I hate not being able to see him for dart days.
