I have not been there for at least ten years but….almost cry thinking that this restaurant is still there. I was young. In my twenties during the eighties! The man who started the place was alive and I had great conversations with him. His daughter was a very young girl and I suppose she might be the owner now. My favorite mexican place beside el puerco llaron at pike plce which is closed now. Such great memories of feasting there as a young flooring installer. All of madison street looks so different now. Overjoyed to see this place on google maps as I sit in Anchorage Alaska dreaming of my lunch memories here through the years. Amazed at the great prices here still in 2025!

Quick, attentive service in a pleasant atmosphere. The first round of chips and salsa are complimentary, along with any soft drink refills. I ordered the Cadillac Margarita and the Baja Tacos, both of which I’d highly recommend! But the tacos were especially delicious.

Thought most of the food was pretty great, especially for Seattle Mexican food 🙂 I did think the chicken wasn’t as good as other places. Think I gotta try one of the other meat options and see if that’s the move.
Chips and salsa were pretty great though, so was the guac, and the owner seems like a nice dude. will come back for sure
Edit: I tried the Chile Colorado, very tasty burrito, 5 stars for me

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Seattle, with very good drinks and a nice variety of homemade Mexican food. The chips and salsa rock! Antonio is an excellent waiter and always makes our stay enjoyable. Order the chile relleno and a margarita, it’s our go-to meal.
I’ve been coming here for over twenty five years.
Never disappointed! It is a family run, local restaurant. SHOP & EAT LOCAL.

Family owned and operated for several decades now, it’s a spot where the locals go so as a visitor from the other coast I’m thankful I’m in the know!
Ambiance reminded me of all the mom and pop places I’ve visited all over Mexico, where you feel like you’re being welcomed into someone’s dining room and not just a cold commercial looking space. I was told that their menu used to be VERY extensive until the pandemic happened and it forced them to condense their menu down considerably.
Regardless, everything from the freshly fried tortilla chips to the spicy and mouthwatering salsa, their flavor packed carne asada, the oozy gooey cheese packed chili rellano and the ginormous torta were all freshly made, deliciously seasoned and outstanding texturally too! I LOVED LOVED that their Mexican rice was not just colored steamed mushy white rice that most places quickly whip up but properly prepared Mexican rice: rice sauteed in a little oil til golden brown toasted, then seasoned with garlic onions and some peppers and colored and further flavored with some tomato puree. This was perfection. Their refried beans were also given lots of time and love as it was deliciously flavorful as well!
Service was a little slow but it just gave us more time to talk and eat more of their addicting salsa and chips! It’s a MUST visit every time you’re in Seattle proper!

here for the first time for lunch on Saturday and it was great. The service was great and the food was good and the lunch prices were good as well. Portions were good ! The only issue is that parking is very limited in the area, but other than that i would dine here again!

Great food at a super friendly authentic neighborhood spot. I got the mole enchiladas, and my friends got the chilaquiles and they were both deliscious.
This would be a great spot for a group or birthday party too!
Can’t wait to go back

Tasty Mexican spot with maybe the best salsa I’ve had in the city. Had some issues with service (never got our margarita) but food was solid and vibes relaxing.

It’s alright mexican food (I’m mexican) waiter is nice. Just feels like there is always a family(,owners) there sitting judging you and taking over the front. Not cheap. Only worth it during lunch time.
