To pickup my herb sourdough bread shaped like a Turkey, she did an amazing job shaping it like a Turkey.
I also tried the chocolate chip scones with a cappuccino drizzle. They have a wonderful taste, can’t go wrong with chocolate.
I also ordered herb sourdough bagels, which had a nice herb taste not overwhelming. Will definitely order them again.
Today, July 12th, at the Vestal farmers market. I once again went to the Baking by numbers tent. I got the ham and cheese croissant. What a great tasting sandwich this was. The croissant was flaky with good taste. The idea of ham and cheese inside was a great idea.
Another must try from this place.
Today was the second time I’ve been to the store in Owego, NY.
Today, I picked up country white sourdough loaf and a whole wheat sourdough. I should have had them slice the whole wheat one.
I also picked up a butter croissant and a pain au Chocolat.
Both have a great flavor. I would definitely recommend the pain au chocolat along with sourdough bagels.
But I have bought plenty of baked goods at the Vestal farmers market.
I’ve had sourdough bread, sourdough bagels, croissants, chocolate babka, scones, and plenty of other pastries. All have a great flavor.
I recently tried the brioche bread, and it has great flavor toasted or not.
I was even able to order from them during covid.
If you get the chance by visiting them at the Vestal farmers market or the store in Owego, definitely them a try.
The owner is a darling And focuses on the tiniest details of everything she presents. Not only does everything look scrumptious and artful, the taste and freshness Goes unmatched. Im heading over this week for my top five choices
Kalamata olive and garlic focaccia, chewy, airy but dense. Salted perfectly. Nice and oily. No notes.
Savory cheese pastry was balanced well. Nice and buttery, cheesy, with a nice light garlic finish.
Apple danish is fantastic. Flaky pastry, buttery, apple chunks with some skin but well cooked adds a great texture to the bite. Only thing I would say is it doesn’t need the icing or could use less. The apples and Danish were already perfectly sweet. The icing hides the more complex and delicate flavors of the Danish itself.
Pending review of further pastries and bread as we will be back.
