I’ve been eating at Hibachi Japan since I was a kid, and it’s still my favorite hibachi place in Raleigh—hands down. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. For the price you pay, the amount of food you get is unmatched.

Large portions & good price. The inside is beautiful even the bathroom doors are pretty cool. It is a limited menu but tasty. I like to add teriyaki sauce to my chicken hibachi.

The food is great but every time I order on DoorDash they ALWAYS forget my sauce. This is 3 times in a row. They either forget the white sauce or the Teriyaki sauce. It would be nice if they paid more attention to the order because if they did I’d say 5 Star and this place would be perfect!

They have a nice two combination lunch special. They didn’t give much shrimp though. You get two healthy scoops of rice and two packets of white sauce. A drink is included so that was a plus. Tasty sautéed veggies as well. There is indoor seating, but not really an atmosphere for dining in. Moreso for waiting for your food or duke in on your lunch break.

It’s like a hidden paradise if you’re a night owl roaming in the daylight. The atmosphere is nice and dim which is easy on the eyes and the service was kind and patient with me. Along with that my food came out in a timely manner. The portions were just the right amount of filling and the chicken and shrimp were tasty. Also got the California rolls! 10/10 For the secret spot of heaven.

Not very good. White sauce very thin and running. Also it came in a pouch which is weird. Chicken was kind of rubbery. Steak didn’t look like steak. Iced tea comes out of the machine instead of being brewed. However the service was good and quick so at least there’s that.

Well, all I can say is what a terribly disappointing lunch. I understand everything is expensive now but it’s just so aggravating to spend $14 and get something that you don’t even enjoy. Ordered hibachi steak and although the taste of the meat was good, every piece was tough and half of the pieces had gristle through it, rendering it virtually uneatable. I can say the rice was OK, but it’s pretty hard to mess up Rice. I think this is simply a case of a restaurant that chooses to squeeze every last penny out of its customers, even if it means using the cheapest products It can buy, and unfortunately it shows I did give them two stars instead of one because the staff was pleasant, and the food was provided promptly.

I was actually very impressed with the speed at which GrubHub got my order to me since I was sick and needed food. So where do I start with the food? It was just altogether bad. I ate the super greasy tiny eggrolls just because my blood sugar had plummeted. The Hibachi Chicken tasted like Spam or something. Definitely could not recognize it as chicken. The whole thing was SO SUPER SALTY, it was inedible. After paying all this money to have food delivered, I’m still left heading to the kitchen trying to see what I can put together after not having bought groceries for awhile. I used to eat here regularly. It’s been years. I don’t know what happened.
