#TueDudesEat today we tried 9th Street Deli and I’m not sure why we haven’t gone here before. The food is PHENOMENAL! I elected for the lunch special, a turkey sandwich (sorry, I forgot to take a picture of the display for details). We will definitely be back!

Great little spot in Soulard for lunch or dinner. They have a very expensive menu, everything is fresh and made to order, great drink selection as well. My suggestion is that you go with the honey, mustard, chicken sandwich, and you can’t go wrong. I also tried the buffalo chicken sandwich, and it was also excellent. Everything I’ve had here in the past few years has been awesome, they have great service, and it is well worth the stop it
A great alternative to eating at the brewery if you’re going on a tour and need a bite to eat after.

We only found this place because we had a tour to see the horses at Anheuser Busch and this popped up nearby and had great ratings. The neighborhood you drive through to get there is old and quaint. Beautiful brick townhomes. The restaurant/bar is adorable from the outside and really cool on the inside. The decor is local sports but it is spotless. Not sticky at all. Hannah was our bartender and was fantastic. Great personality and even shared some photos of the zoo as we were talking about it. I ordered the “St Louisan” and my husband had “The Nine”. We both RAVED about our sandwiches. The bread was SO fresh and really made the sandwich so much more enjoyable. But the pairing of meats on the sandwiches with the dressings and veggies…. . Truly the best Italian sub I’ve ever had and I’m from New England. The fries were good, skin on and homemade and the small fry is massive. Food. Service. Cocktails. Character and cleanliness. 10 stars.

I picked this place at random just surfing around on Google maps looking for food to take to the music in the park at Lafayette Park. Ninth Street Deli was only 5 minutes away, and it was super convenient.
I ordered “The Lars,” which was Cajun spiced smoked bacon, mesquite turkey, lettuce, tomato, and tomato aioli. It was supposed to come on Texas toast, but I subbed it for French bread. It was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in St. Louis! The bacon had just the right amount of kick. The turkey was smoky, tender, and delicious. I got it with a side of their long cut fries, and those were stellar as well!
The food was great, I’d recommend it to others, and I’ll definitely be back!

Cheap Bud and good atmosphere.
There is a bunch of St. Louis Blues and Cardinals memorabilia everywhere throughout the bar.
As before mentioned, the bud is very cheap. Being right by the brewery though, I guess that’s not too surprising.
We ordered chicken wings and they were turning, which was unfortunate because they did have good flavor other than that. But they certainly were not suitable to eat.
We sent them back and told them that they were turning. We offered to pay for them anyways and they did not disagree. They did not take them off of the bill, which was a little disingenuous if you ask me. But whatever.
Overall, the atmosphere was good and the Budweiser was cold and reasonably priced. Definitely would not return for their chicken wings though.

We had my sister’s bridal shower here yesterday, and let me tell you, they were nothing short of amazing! They were so welcoming and easy to work with. They let us decorate and reserve the dining room. Met every single one of our needs and were extremely flexible. Everyone LOVED the food (especially the house made salad dressing). The fruit was fresh and perfect, and variety and quality of sandwiches was off the charts. Natasha took care of us yesterday, and she was my saving grace! super helpful and attentive. They never rushed us and Natasha made sure to make me feel comfortable with the stress of party planning. This is a great venue, with fantastic food and awesome staff. Highly recommend to everyone.

The bar was cool and the drink selection is good, but I don’t drink. I had the happy camper sandwich. It was not my favorite. I am not a picky eater and didn’t finish it. That is significant for me. The fries were good.
Rating 3 out of 5.

Easily one of my favorite spots in town and they have a lot more than deli sandwiches! From burger to pizza and beer to baked goods anything you get is worth it. Some of my favorites are the meatball sub or chicken parm, and the burger is a close second. Awesome patio out back or fun spot to hang at the bar, watch the ball game, and chat up the bar backs. Definitely more of a local spot but usually packed with a crowd.

We loved 9th Street Deli and here’s why. 9th Street Deli is tucked into a quiet corner of Soulard right across from Pontiac Park so parking is ready available Star number 1. We met up for our monthly Sandwich Club meeting round 1 pm on a Saturday. Most of our members have never been here so we were pretty excited to try this place out. First thing we noticed is the decor and how clean everything looked. The walls are adorned with what looks to be locally made art. We loved the tributes to some of or favorite pop and rock artist like the Bob Marley mural and the king of pop Michael Jackson paintings.Star number 2. The menu above the front counter is well laid out and easy to read and the sandwich selections although many is not overwhelming with some classic styles like a corned beef and a Philly,Star number 3.The Server was pleasant and friendly, star number 4. The Sandwiches ! Our group consisted of about 10 people and I think we covered a pretty good range across the board. We ordered the Special, the New Yorker , The Americorps Hero, Island, The Meatball classic and the Chicken Philly and a Soulard Club. Everyone was most impressed with their choices. One member that ordered The Island said that it was her favorite sandwich shes had so far with Sandwich Club.(we eat a lot of sandwiches so that’s saying something). We cold go on in great detail about each individual sandwich but we would prefer you check out the on line menu and go there yourself. They are all good. They have some great sides to choose from as well. I highly recommend the tortellini salad or the Zapp’s Potato Chips. Star number 5. We will be back. For the love of sandwiches.
