I am almost bummed that this place is in the mall! It’s so far away from me, but I have driven to the Danbury mall all the way from Shelton just to eat here! Everything is always so fresh and you can tell that they put love into the food that they make. There are so many layers of flavor and every time I try something new, I am never disappointed. The customer service is always amazing, they are always recommending what to try and explain exactly what is in the food in case someone like me who is unfamiliar with the cuisine wants to try something. Definitely deserves five stars.

Disappointing. I enjoyed the chicken and flavor itself but service left a lot to be desired. First they were late and had me leave and come back in 30 mins. Then when I came back, they still weren’t ready. The lettuce and tomato were bagged salads from target which I quickly said no for my sandwich. My first and last time here. I don’t recommend at all.

The food has no flavor no spice at all taste as if the rice is Goya box rice with added all spice balls in it ALOT OF ALL SPICE BALLS. I chewed about 3 all spice balls in every bite I took no flavor no flavor no flavor !!!!!! They charge almost $4 for a mini drumstick fried piece of chicken …. Worse food and disappointment to the culture $21 dollars for a small plate really is $15 with tax but the extra 3 something for the mini drumsticks. If you have money to throw away or just feel like your in the mood to donate try it never again the way the food looked in the display surprised me on how it taste ! Literally no taste !!! Last thing the Steamed VEGETABLES?!?!! Nothing but RAW VEGETABLES hard like plastic !!!

A great option in the mall. Delicious food and large servings. The callaloo greens and chicken curry were outstanding. My family had mango chicken and jerk chicken. Both good too

Mall restaurant but my guess locally owned which is great. Beef patty crust was nice and flaky. Curry chicken was moist and flavorful. Rice and peas and callilou were nice! Would definitely recommend.

I had a great experience at Scotch Bonnet in the Danbury Mall! The food was fresh, flavorful, and full of authentic Caribbean taste. You can really tell they put care into every dish. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the service was quick. Whether you’re trying it for the first time or you’re a fan of Caribbean cuisine, I definitely recommend giving this place a try. I’ll absolutely be coming back!

Excellent and authentic Jamaican food. Right up there with anything we get in Brooklyn or even what I have had in Jamaica. Jerk chicken is tasty and not dry. Good portions. Healthy and tasty option in a mall food court!

I took a chance getting Jamaican food at a mall food court. I was astounded, some of the best rice and peas I ever had, curry chicken and callalou was amazing, and plantains fantastic. I was laughing, because even the food I got in last time I was in Jamaica wasn’t that good. The must have a very good cook in the back there.

Disappointing and pricey
Jerk chicken was dry and tough with many burnt pieces and very little spice, (maybe the oxtail is better), plantains were okay, cabbage was good. Vegetable patty was old flat and very little filling. $21 for the Jerk chicken plate seems excessive for a take away mall stall as well as $5 for an underwhelming pattie. It was pleasant having the choice from the usual mall food for what I was hoping would be exceptional.
